This is a great family retreat with lots of space, very well set up for kid and pets, too! Things that make this home special are the well-stocked kitchen, outdoor hot tub and grill, reading/office room with books, puzzles and toys for all ages, fenced yard with doggie door, high chair, pack-n-play, kids dishes. The living room and bedroom both have Smart TV's with Netflix and DisneyPlus streaming services set up for guest use. Located in the Forest Lakes section of Bayfield, just outside of Durango and near Lake Vallecito. Come stay, play and relax!

LOCATION: The Forest Lakes area is 8 miles North of Bayfield, and 8 miles South of Lake Vallecito Recreation Area. Forest Lakes also has a playground and neighborhood lake for fishing - Lake Simpatico - with a walking trail around the lake. This home is appx 20 miles from downtown Durango and 50 miles from Pagosa Springs. There is plenty of dining, unique shops, and outdoor recreation in the surrounding area - including hiking, boating, skiing, fishing, snowmobiling, biking, hunting and more.

PETS: This home is pet friendly! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs max and the pet fee is $40/day (for a max $250 per stay). Pets must be crated if they are left home alone.

COOLING: Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.

There is a ring camera at the front door entry only.
During winter storm events 4WD is required.

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.
