Unser Blockhaus trägt den Namen "Ist der Greene Gras wächst". Wenn Sie weg zu einem niedlich, schöne 3-Zimmer bekommen, 2 Bad Blockhaus auf 3 + Hektar absolut herrliche Land, das ist Ihre nächste Urlaubsort! Ein kleiner Bach läuft durch das Grundstück und läuft unter Bethel Straße in den Watauga River. Am Fluss können Sie Fischen, Schläuche oder einfach nur in den Fluss zu spielen und sich abzukühlen.

Es gibt einen großen Holzofen im Wohnbereich. Im Erdgeschoss gibt es ein Queen-Schlafzimmer und ein Vollbad, zusammen mit einer Waschmaschine und Trockner Zimmer. Die Küche ist komplett für alle Ihre Bedürfnisse Kochen ausgestattet. Das Esszimmer und Wohnzimmer wird zur gemütlichen Atmosphäre bei. Im Obergeschoss befinden sich 2 Schlafzimmer, eines mit einem Doppelbett und das andere mit einem Doppelbett sowie ein ausziehbares Doppel-Ausziehbett. Es gibt ein weiteres Bad im Obergeschoss zwischen den 2 Schlafzimmern. Entspannen Sie sich auf der Veranda oder Achterdeck an den Wippen oder Schaukeln. Die Veranda hat eine schöne Propan Grill und voll unterkellert für Spieleabend verwendet werden.

Diese Hütte wurde 1985 erbaut. Es ist nur ein paar Meilen auf Watauga Lake, Beech Mountain Ski und Sie können nur ein paar Minuten weiter fahren zu Grandfather Mountain, Sugar Mountain, Tubing in Hawksnest & Appalachian Ski Mountain erreichen. Boone ist eine große Universitätsstadt zur Appalachian State University, plus verfügt über Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants, Kino. Valle Crucis ist nur etwa 5 Meilen entfernt und ist die Heimat der Mast General Store und dem berühmten Süßigkeit Barrel. Blowing Rock ist auch in der Nähe, mit dem hat unglaubliche einzigartigen Geschäften und ist die Heimat von Tweetsie Railroad. Diese Kabine hat eine sehr gute Anbindung Punkte auf dem Blue Ridge Parkway und ist nur 30 Meilen entfernt für die NASCAR-Rennen in Bristol, TN. We stayed at the cabin July 9-12, 2025. The cabin was the perfect place to relax after a long day of sightseeing! There was plenty of room for our family of 5. We did not cook any meals during our stay but the kitchen seemed to be adequately equipped if meals were prepared with plenty of cooking utensils and pots and pans. It was nice that we were able to bring our fur babies with us on this trip! The morning of our departure we saw two deer in the back yard!

Wonderful NC Retreat

This great moountain cabin is a fantaftisti claxce to get awat form it all. My wif, child an i wanted to wuiet place to spend the alst few days of our hiliday and this checlced all the boxes, Clean quiet and rustic. Just the typ eof cabin we wanted.

Cute cozy cabin

Super cute and cozy, perfect location, loved the property. It’s seems secluded but still close enough to everything you need. I seen other reviews about the neighbors dogs. The only time I heard the neighbors dogs was when I took my dog outside. But even then it was not bad at all and couldn’t hear anything inside. Overall the place was super cute and loved staying there! The only down fall for me was the beds. Probably the most uncomfortable beds I’ve slept in. We were worried about the driveway and snow but just parked our one vehicle at the top of the drive and walked to the front door no problem!

Such a perfect little getaway!

It was a very cute cabin with everything we needed. My 14 month old loved exploring with us in the woods. Everything was very clean and for the most part as kid friendly as it could be.

Cozy Cabin

We stayed here for Thanksgiving 2024 as we have family close by. This home is exactly as listed. It was very cozy and comfortable for our family of 4. We kept the wood fire burning as it was quite cold outside. Bonus is there is a guy who sells wood just down the hill. My boys enjoyed the swing outside and exploring the woods in the back. I prepared many Thanksgiving dishes in the kitchen and found the kitchen had everything I needed. The home also has extra pillows, towels and blankets. We were very happy with our stay. Would stay again.

Vacation in Sugar Grove

Cabin was clean. We stayed for 3 nights and did not hear any dogs barking at anytime during our stay. Stairs outside around back are slippery. If you want to get to the bottom of yard use the grassy hill. Hosts were great and answered all my questions about the listing.

Nice house

The house was nice to stay in. We didn't spend much time in it because the location is so close to places to visit like blowing rock and grandfather mountain and tweetsie railroad. The owners were easy to get in touch with before and after check in. You will definitely enjoy the privacy and wildlife staying here.

This little cabin was perfect for us. We have family that is right up the road, so being so close was amazing. It’s a great cabin. No Wi-Fi, but we weren’t there to be on our phones. Easy communication and easy to get to and into. Will Definitely book again.

Quintessential mountain cabin!

This cabin is perfect! The location is far enough to be away from too much but close enough to the slopes, restaurants, etc. We loved that we were able to bring our pupper, she had a blast running up and down the mountain hills & she even got to see a deer! The upstairs tub was amazing to soak in after a day of skiing. The porch swings & rocking chairs are perfect to sit & listen to the creek with a good book! Great house, would absolutely recommend!

Perfect Cabin

We spent 2 nights in this cabin and it was the perfect home base. My husband and I and our two sons (ages 10 an 9) had everything we needed. There was plenty of room and the boys enjoyed roaming the outdoors. The inside is so pretty and I love all of the wood. We enjoyed game nights around the dining table and the kitchen had all we needed to make meals. The cabin was conveniently located - we were close to everything. We spent a day at Beech Mountain, spent time in Boone and Valle Crucis.

Great Family getaway!!

The cabin is actually what you would think about in the Mountains of NC. It is decorated very nicely with country antiques and very cozy. The drive time to local attractions and sites is not bad at all and gives you a chance to enjoy the local’s atmosphere. If you hunting for a Christmas tree farm during your stay there are plenty around in the area. The Cheese Factory in West Jefferson is about 45 minutes away and is a most to go see. They have some great antique stores in the area. Boone and Blowing Rock are both just a short drive with numerous shops and Antique stores to keep you busy. If you are into skiing,mountain biking, or fishing you will not be disappointed. Great place hope to visit again soon.

Cute Cabin in the Woods

This cabin was a great find! It was secluded, well stocked and had everything we needed for our stay. Not having to bring linens was a big plus. Boone and App State are about a 15 min drive, great maintained hiking trails are close by, although, our best hike was one that was off the beaten path, we found an amazing waterfall in the middle of the nowhere. It was perfect. We thought about going to Grandfather Mountain but the traffic getting in was terrible, the drive there was amazing with beautiful views and plenty of places to stop and check out the scenery. This cabin was too cute, we will stay here again next time we head back to the area.

Not up to par

We could never get the heat warm enough. Plus, I am on oxygen and the propane heat was not good for me. If I had known it was propane I never would have booked. The couch was very awkward. You had a sense you were sliding forward all the time. I had to lay down in order to feel comfortable on the couch. The main b croon stayed cold. All heat seemed to travel upstairs which I could no go up and down. When trying to sweep, the only brooms bristles kept breaking off and there was no dustpan. We brought a portable vacuum and used it to vacuum up the bristles etc…. This cabin is cute, but not structured for elderly. Bathroom was in strange location. The trash dump was closed on Sunday so we had to ride around Boone to look for one, would have been nice to know other locations. I blame myself for not asking more questions, but when it advertised 3 acres I assumed we would Hhave some privacy and yard we could actually walk around in. The dogs next door barked constantly. We have stayed in many vrbo cabins, but never had to bring all supplies needed. Paper towels, toilet paper,foil, etc…. We always left dry goods to help next renters out, which most renters do. Just wish our trip would have been more pleasant. The propane gas topped the list though. Very tough to breath at times. Owners were very cordial in our advance stay and always responded very quickly. I just should have ask more questions.

This cabin is owned by 'The Greenes'. We grew up in North Carolina and attended college at Appalachian. We know and love this area and are happy to have the chance to share it with you. We have a 22 year old daughter who loves to bring her friends and have fun in the mountains at 'Where the Greene Grass Grows'

We love the mountains! It is so nice in the heat of the summer, because it is usually very cool. In the winter it is fun to visit and go skiing with friends. The river is so natural and does not come with the sand that ends up all over everything when vacationing at the beach. The views are great. The shopping is awesome and you are always family in the NC mountains.
