Beach Accesses: There are several convenient beach accesses!
Below are 3 of the most popular accesses:
Gulf Lakes Beach Access: The Gulf Lakes access is a Walton County beach access located about 1 mile to the East of Prominence. This is a small access and can be easily missed.
Deer Lake State Park: Deer Lake is located 0.5 miles West of Prominence. While it is popular, there are a few things to keep in mind: There is a small parking area at the access (aprox. $3 for parking) Bathrooms are also available at the access. The walk from the parking area to the beach is a bit longer than most area accesses. IMPORTANT - Because this is a state park, and not a Walton County beach access, alcohol is not allowed. Beach service is not available at this location either.
Santa Clara: Santa Clara access is a Walton County, ADA approved, beach access located near Bramble Grove Road, about 3.5 miles to the west of Prominence. Parking and bathrooms are also available at the Santa Clara access.

The Town of Prominence offers a 2 large resort style community pools! The 5,000 sq ft Prominence North resort-style pool is just a short walk from Pier Pleasure, it even provides guests cabanas, grills, a and bathhouse! The new South Pool is also only a short walk away, and features a stunning fire pit!

Great vacation!

My family had a great time at Pier Pleasure! The pool was warm and spacious, but get there early to get a seat. The golf cart made it so easy to get around to the beaches and nearby restaurants. The condo is right across from the big chill which offered a variety of foods for everyone. The listing stated there was a fitness center but it is no longer there. Not a big deal, we just opted for more walks and runs to enjoy the Florida weather. Overall we had a great trip and I would recommend this place to anyone. We’ll definitely be back!

Great location! Very clean!

The property was very clean! The location was great. It was along 30A directly across from the Big Chill. The only thing that was a downfall was that the kitchen sink did not have hot (or even warm) water for washing dishes. Would stay here again.

Everything was as advertised and really nice EXCEPT the listing showed pictures and advertised a small workout facility and there was not one. The only gym close charged $26 per day so it would have cost our family over $100/day to workout. Other than that, it was really nice!

Great family getaway!

We had a wonderful and relaxing time at Pier Pleasure! Everything was within walking distance, but the golf cart was a great addition for packing things up and heading to the beach. BeachWalk Vacations was great to work with and communication with them via text was super efficient. We will definitely be back!

10+yrs traveler to this area, will never stay here again

I should start by clarifying that my review is more based on my experience with the management company. I should’ve have known even before checking in that this was going to be a bad experience but it was too late to cancel. The management office seems to be very disjointed and does not have a good communication process to handle issues, which lends itself to renter’s horrible intentions with them. Even leading up to the check in date, I was asked to provide my kids’ ages 4 different times!! via text and email though I provided it already at their first request. When reaching for various issues with the property (clogged toilet, toilet not filling up water, thermostats malfunction, etc) , they were never clear on their communication. I never knew if they came or not, couldn’t tell if their communication was a question or a statement, and no confirmation back if the issues were resolved or not. It was such a distraction trying communicate with them while I’m there to enjoy my time off and while still dealing with issues with the property. They are unprofessional and need some internal process review to be able to handle issue more efficiently and communicate effectively. A couple of notes for other future renters. The house has nothing you can use to cook a meal in terms of cooking ingredients, not even salt or peppers or oil! So you would have to buy those essentials just for 3-5 days you are staying there. The thermostat upstairs are useless as the temp upstairs.

Great house and location

The house was the perfect place for my family of 4 and mother. It was during spring break time so everything was very busy and crowded and the WiFi/phone service didn’t work a lot, but that has nothing to do with the house itself. The golf cart was the perfect thing and we took it everywhere - we had struggles turning it on the first night, but they were quick to respond on how to start it. The pool was heated and my kids spent hours there. Be sure to get there early (no later than 10ish) if you want chairs because people go out and throw towels on all of the chairs pretty quick. The location of this house really was perfect in the neighborhood because it’s right near the main pool and right across the street from The Big Chill so it’s a quick walk (which you need because there’s very limited parking there). The house did have some plumbing issues, weird noises when flushing the master bath and the 1/2 bath didn’t flush well, but nothing that took away from the house/stay. We’d definitely come back and stay in this house!

Extremely disappointed

Place had no paper towels, no cleaning products, you are suppose to leave it clean and dishes done but nothing to clean the dishes or kitchen counter with, towel rack in master bathroom broken, no blankets, one of the stove was broken and had a gas leak, the alarms didn’t have good batteries so it would go off in the middle of the night to the point we left a day earlier. Not a pleasant experience at all!!!!

The house and amenities in the neighborhood in area is a great location. The bicycles and golf cart are great editions. With that said the beach access was not described accurately and it wasn’t as convenient as we would’ve liked. One of the public access beaches was closed. Overall, very good rental.
