When we arrived 3 of us spent 20 minutes cleaning out rodent droppings from shelving in the kitchen pantry. Some were old and crusty, but mostly recent. For the next 2 nights as we ate dinner mice were visible scampering on floor in kitchen and darting in and out along cabinets and base of refrigerator.
We were careful not to leave food out, but when we returned after a day in the Park the kitchen countertops were crawling with thousands of ants.
We made an emergency trip to the store for a can of Raid insect spray and used it twice daily along back splash and base boards.
Floors in every room were dirty and cobwebs in corners.
This is not just rustic cabin in the forest conditions, but highly unsanitary.
We were given 2 different sets of Network/Wifi information and codes. Neither worked. After an hour of texting with the local rep another man called and gave us latest log-in information.
One of our children managed to lock an upstairs bedroom door. (Our fault) But it was a key lock and we were locked out with no key. At 8:45 p.m. we tried to contact the local rep about a key, but received a prerecorded text telling us to to call the Vacasa national 800 phone number. We finally managed to jimmy the lock open with a table knife and a small screw driver from our car.
Drawer fronts in kitchen were missing screws and hanging.
Yosemite was fantastic, and when new this home was probably great. But the lack of maintenance and regular serious cleaning has greatly deteriorated property.
