I have mixed thoughts about what to leave in this review! The house was very big and secure, and fit all of us easily (five adults, two teens) with room to spare. The AC worked well. It was wonderful to have the private outdoors space (I loved the hammocks!) and the kitchen and pool all to ourselves. I really want to be able to leave a glowing review. But the property overall seems to be in a sort of gentle maintenance decay. The pool filter and pumps were not working on arrival (and seemed not to have been working for a while) and the pool water was cloudy. The various switches and timers in the pool cabinet didn't seem to control anything at all that we could determine, and while management was responsive to my questions and did send over people to look at it, the pool remained unfiltered for the duration of our stay. There were several shattered lightbulbs on the patio, there was an electrical box dangling from the wall outside, a stream of tiny ants coming to and from a locked cupboard in the kitchen, and one pantry cabinet was full of dozens of empty beer bottles. One bathroom faucet came detached in my hand one day. The pool floats all had holes in them, and when we arrived there were some deflated helium balloons dangling from a curtain rod. I wanted to love this place, I really did. I loved the location (and the pastiche stand around the corner!), and I loved the yard and the privacy. But overall I I don't think I could recommend it to a friend, which makes me sad.
