Indeed our property is down pretty rural roads in the Hill Country. And internet is marginal in region. 48" flat screen TV in the bedroom works fine on Dish; must have on been on wrong input.

Thank you so much for leaving us this feedback. The wasps have definitely been a nuisance this summer and we've tried our best to get rid of them but they have been extremely stubborn and continue to return. I am so sorry if they hindered your experience. We will continue trying to eliminate them.

It is such a shame that you have decided to handle yourself in this manner. The reason VRBO did not side with your complaint and neither did the credit card company when you tried to dispute your entire bill for the 9 days you stayed with us is because we sent them receipts, copies of communication, and additional proof that your claims were untrue. You reported during her stay that the refrigerator in the cabin was not cooling properly a couple days into her stay. So we bought a brand new refrigerator and delivered it to you. We also unlocked the other home on the property so you could place any items you were worried about in the other fridge/freezer while we were getting the new one. When we were delivering the new refrigerator, you told me to my face that you were very happy with how clean the cabin was when you arrived. The next day you started compulsively texting us that there were wasps outdoors. Please understand this property is a log cabin located in a rural hill country area, on 10 private acres. In the VRBO listing title we even say "Remarkable Authentic Log Cabin Surrounded by Wildlife". However, we still went and purchased 4 cans of wasp spray and took them to you in an attempt to continue to be as accommodating as possible. Then a couple of days later, you began sending very aggressive text messages, literally averaging 15 text messages within 20 minute time spans, that you found evidence of a mouse inside the cabin. At this point, you had been residing in the cabin for 8 days. So for the first 8 days of your stay, there was no mice, and you had complimented us on how clean the property was more than once. We apologized to you about the mouse encounter and reminded you that this cabin is surrounded by 10 acres of fields, and with fields unfortunately come field mice. We also referenced the rental agreement for this listing that you signed that very clearly states the following..."INSECTS, CRITTERS, AND RODENTS: Guests are aware and acknowledge they have rented a property in the hill country where insects, critters, rodents, and animals are prevalent. A professional third-party pest control company services each property on either a monthly or quarterly basis to help contain their existence but it is impossible to eliminate them completely. Guest understands it is still likely, especially on ranches or properties with acreage, that they can encounter insects, critters, or rodents, most commonly but not limited to ants, bees, scorpions, and mice during their reservation." Leaving the door open, even for just a couple of minutes (while your dog would go in/out of the cabin likely), can absolutely allow a field mouse enough time to run inside the cabin. It is a reality of the environment this cabin is located in and that is why we make guests aware of this reality in the rental agreement, before they even arrive. However, we still tried to help you through this situation. We directed you to mouse traps that we keep in the linen closet for these types of situations. You confirmed to us that you located the mouse traps. And you did also confirm to us that you did catch the mouse with the trap shortly after putting the trap out. However your communication became increasing nasty and beyond tolerable. So we told you that we did not think we were going to be able to please you at that point, and that we would be willing to make an exception to our cancellation policy for you. We offered to cancel the remainder of your reservation, and refund the remaining 5-nights left in your stay. You accepted that offer and told us that night that you found different accommodations. We canceled the remainder of the stay and issued a refund of $925.00 back to you on June 10th. We also extended a 2-hour late checkout time to you in an effort to continue to be as accommodating as possible. You did not complete any of the check-out instructions we provided you. After your departure we thoroughly cleaned the cabin and set out additional mouse traps to ensure there were no mice. We went above and beyond for you and addressed ANY issues that she contacted us with in a very timely manner. We also made an exception to our cancellation policy and allowed you to end the reservation early even though we made you aware that you had rented a rural property where mice and rodents are prevalent, before your stay in the rental agreement that you signed. And despite the fact that we did everything within our power to do right by you, you continued to harass us with aggressive communication after your stay and post detrimental and blatantly untrue reviews all over the internet. There was another guest (last name Deaton) who departed from this same property just ONE DAY before you, checked in. Please look at our listing and see that she left this property a public 5-star review. It says "A great escape. Lovely property. Details evident".
