Soak in the charm of this beautifully updated 1950s historic Ardmore home! Featuring a heated and cooled sunroom/sitting area where you and your guests can enjoy a morning coffee, work on a project in our remote work station, or open the windows & feel a nice summer breeze!
This home takes character to another level with its original hardwood floors, beautiful bathroom tile, and decor fit for your favorite TV show.
The backyard is huge too! Welcome to our home! We hope you love it like we do!

The Space:
This home is in the perfect location! 1/2 mile from Novant Health for traveling Nurses, 1/2 mile from shopping and restaurants, in a safe and quiet neighborhood! What more could you as for? The house includes a carport to keep you dry in the rain, we've stocked it with board games for kids or adults, and thought of other amenities that you will surely appreciate!

Quiet and peaceful neighborhood close to everything! You will surely fall in love with this location like we have. All the houses in this neighborhood just have that historic charm!

You could realistically walk, since there are quite a few attractions nearby, but we recommend having a car or at least a bike to explore Winston Salem and all of its glory!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I stayed at this property to spend time with my family who lives in town. Little did I know, it would turn me off of Vrbo, potentially forever. When we got there, the house had not been cleaned at all (unmade beds, no clean linens to replace them, trash outside the door). I thought “no big deal, I’ll contact the host and just at least get linens for the night”. Boy was I wrong. I messaged the host four times between check-in around 4pm and 11pm, attempted to call them (which just took me to Vrbo’s support number), spoke with Vrbo support until I got the host’s actual number, then they *still* would not answer. As a result, we had to stay in a hotel for not one, but TWO NIGHTS because we got ghosted by the host (except for one message they sent the next day saying linens were getting delivered. Guess what? They never did!). Only on the third day after calling the host again (who was very rude when they answered), calling Vrbo support, and threatening to charge back our card did they send someone. By the time we were able to check in, it was past 5pm that day so we had gone two and a half days with no ability to stay there. Oh and there were rat droppings and mold when we got in! Yay! We also asked SEVERAL times about having those nights refunded only to be sent through the ringer of “we have to check” before getting completely ignored by the host, never to hear from them again. Absolutely embarrassing behavior from the host on this and Vrbo support.

The bad: 1) poorly cleaned. Beer and wine bottles left around the house. Trash bag left in driveway, right by the door- it was ripped open, with dirty diaper, beer bottles and dead maggots…we alerted the host about from the moment we checked in… he assured us it would be taken care of, but it was still there the day we checked out! 2) mold on wall around shower - looks like this is not new, as someone commented about it in October. 3) fridge freezes most of your food, and can’t be reset4) internet was out for a day5) poorly stocked, no trash bags in cans, no toilet paper, no K cups. We were told a coffee machine would be delivered and it never was 6) vent covers around dining table do not fit into place, leaving a trip/fall hazard. The good- Mattresses were comfyHouse was warm. Location was close to our family. Still, would not recommend if you can find a better option.

Misleading Listing – A Complete Catfish of a House I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience deserves one. The house was nothing like what was shown in the pictures — it felt like we were catfished. From the moment we walked in, it was clear this property was misrepresented.There was visible mold in the house, which immediately made us uncomfortable. The backyard was completely unkept, nothing like the neat outdoor space shown in the photos. Inside, the lighting in the bathroom was dim, making it hard to get ready, and there were not enough towels provided — I actually had to dry off with a hand towel.The trash bins didn’t have any bags, and we assumed none were provided until we found them on the last day (too late to be useful). The TV barely worked, and after struggling with it, we couldn’t get it to turn on at all. To top it off, one of the lamps was plugged in without even having a lightbulb.The entire experience was disappointing and uncomfortable — so much so that we ended our stay a day early because we simply couldn’t take it any longer.Bottom line: This property was a major letdown, completely misrepresented in its photos, and in desperate need of maintenance and basic hospitality essentials. I would not recommend staying here.

The house was ok for a couple of nights. It was clean but dishes from previous guests were left in the sink and only 2 bath towels were provided. The bathroom light was also too dim, thank god for sunlight. The AC was not working so house was musty and a closet door was also broken from previous renters. Backyard unusable...over grown and not welcoming at all. Owners/management company was very responsive, however, and provided great recommendations for food/coffee.

We had a wonderful stay at this home! It was well stalked, had plenty of cooking dishes, and the bedrooms were comfortable. The host was very communicative and willing to answer any questions! The location is close to most of the towns sights and restaurants. Would definitely recommend this home if you are staying in the area.

Awesome stay! Great property!

Visiting for a family wedding wedding. Property was great and fit our needs perfectly. Beautiful neighborhood! Took walks every morning and neighbors were very friendly. Communication with host was incredible from time of booking to end of our stay. Our 2 little granddaughters loved running around the yard. Great stay from beginng to end. Thank you very much!!!

Disappointed with service

On arrival no electricity, no toilet paper not even in the bathroom. 1 wine glass, 2 coffee cups for 7 guest. Not ironing board cover, linens thrown in closet and smell of mildew. Unable to turn on TV. Report this to our host other than turning on the electricity all he responded was working on it.Never brought any of the items we requested. Told us to re plug the T V ourselves difficulty doing for elderly people , behind a large dresser.Our problem was with Ouintin West . He left a list for us to do on leaving my answer is we are working on it We paid top dollar during graduation week and received poor service.

Horrible

Contacted the owner as soon as we checked in. Plumbing leaked into the basement when you flushed the toilet. Said he’d send someone but never did all week. Continually had to clean up the water. Washer and dryer were both full. Had to empty the dryer and dry the items from the washer before we could use it. Had to check for a package delivery for the owner. It was the toilet paper, garbage bags and paper towels. Those should have all been replenished before we got there.

Great Stay- Comfortable space- Good Neighborhood

We had an amazing weekend staying at this VRBO in Winston-Salem, NC, for a race weekend with friends! The house was spacious, clean, and equipped with everything we needed. The comfortable furnishings made it easy to unwind after a long day at the race. The fully stocked kitchen was perfect for cooking meals, and the cozy living room was great for hanging out and watching movies in the evening.The location was ideal—just a short drive to the race track and close to a variety of shopping and dining options. We loved being able to grab breakfast or coffee at nearby cafes and found plenty of excellent restaurants for dinner. Whether we were out exploring or relaxing at the house, the area offered everything we needed for a stress-free and fun weekend. Highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay!

Just what we needed

We needed a place for family to stay for our child’s graduation from Wake Forest University. Six of us stayed here comfortably. We were a short drive from the University and our scheduled activities. If you are a light sleeper, you should definitely bring a sound machine. The walls and doors are thin.

All was fine until it wasn’t

The property itself was well located, well furnished, and clean upon our arrival. However, that all unraveled when what any traveler (and owner, I assume) dreads occurs: bedbugs. My husband woke on Sunday covered in bites. We tried to find every explanation possible, until we found a live bug, and confirmed with a family member from CA who has unfortunate expertise. The owner was responsive to start, had a handyman come over to bomb the house, but we decided, naturally, to leave a day early, to which the owner agreed to refund the night we weren’t staying and pay for dry cleaning items unable to be treated. We were in town for my brother’s wedding and we had dogs, kid, and adults — had to go into “not bring these to our own house” mode, dry everything on high for 30 mins, steam clean individual pieces, bag everything, throw them in the back of the pickup, and do the same due diligence on the back end before being bringing things into our own home. I spent roughly 11 hours doing this total. I felt like asking for a night refund (again we HAD to leave early) and dry cleaning expenses were totally reasonable, maybe too nice really. I haven’t heard anything about our refund/reimbursement from the owner. Last contact was over 48 hours ago. Still working with VRBO to see if they’ll do anything. So, as my husband’s reaction to the bites have gotten worse (they often show days after and they’re on his forehead, hands, arms, legs, everywhere possibly exposed), I’m holding out hope that the owner will stay true to his word and give a small token of just how much chaos this caused us or VRBO steps in. I’m a silver linings person, and all I can say is I’m glad this didn’t ruin the wedding and not all of us suffered a reaction to their bites. TBD on if all this even prevented us bringing them home (that’s a couple thousand dollar question). Sad thing is the property was perfect, and it all could have gone amazingly well… some is unfortunate cost of doing business/staying at these types of rentals, some of it could have been softened by profuse apologies and strong, quick action on the back end. I’ll update this review (if I can) in the event this gets resolved; still holding out some hope.

Way past disappointing!!!

The entire experience was much more than disappointing! We were unable to enter the property when we arrived as the host did not send the entry key code. We tried numerous times to contact the host by phone and email with no response. VRBO fervently tried to contact the host as well. We all needed a bathroom break from the trip but instead we stood outside the property waiting endlessly to get in.. Finally we had to miss the conference which was the purpose of the trip and return home. The property itself appeared to be occupied. There was mail visible n the mailbox on the porch, a little girl's bike laying down on the back patio which was pictured as guest outdoor space, the backyard entry gate was broken and, grass that needed to be mowed. Overall it didn't look like guests were expected. Host should reimburse our gas, travel time, and time spent waiting for the code. Huge waste of time and money. Again, way past disappointing!

A Nice Place

We had a nice time and it was a cute house. Fun variety of decor. Too bad the fireplace didn't work, but we understand that people should not generally be trusted with such things. Only thing that was annoying was paying a cleaning fee and then asked to do the laundry when we left.... really? Great otherwise.
