This beautiful 3 bedroom 2 bath home in The Dunes Golf & Tennis Club community backs up to peaceful conservation land with palm trees and tropical foliage surrounding the private yard. The house is conveniently located for easy on-off island access and within close proximity to all that Sanibel offers. This island retreat is close to Sanibel’s famous shell-strewn beaches, restaurants, and boutiques, and provides ample amenities for guests.
The space:
This home has been freshly painted and remodeled in coastal style throughout and offers all the comforts of home including new smart tvs, hi speed wifi, Alexa studio, new linens and a well appointed kitchen. It has high end impact resistant windows and sliders throughout, drenching the home in sunlight. The main floor is appointed with an updated kitchen with granite counters, stainless steel appliances with views of the large Trex decks and a secluded backyard. Guests will also find 2 comfortable guest bedrooms on the main floor; one with a Queen bed and one with 2 twin beds. There is an updated full guest bath and laundry on this level.
Also on the main floor, the living room opens up to a spacious enclosed lanai, and large back deck overlooking a beautifully landscaped, private yard. Down the deck stairs guests will enjoy the outdoor living space complete with a private heated pool, firepit and conversation area. Whether entertaining or simply slowing down and relaxing, guests will enjoy this space in particular. Enjoy all the island has to offer and take the included guest bikes for a ride to the restaurants and shops within close proximity, or explore either the bay side or gulf beaches for shell treasures.
The master retreat is located upstairs and appointed with a king bed, and ensuite bath. Enjoy your morning coffee on the private lanai that overlooks the pool and tropical foliage of the Bailey Homestead preserve.
On the ground level guests will find a rec room with an extra refrigerator for easy access during outdoor activities and a covered parking area.
There are beach chairs and bikes for guest use as well as yard games, board games and books for when guests need a break from the beach or pool.
Guest Access:
As of last update The Dunes Golf and Tennis Club is open to the public at a user fee of $120 for golf and $25 an hour for tennis facilities. Furthermore, there are golf and tennis lessons offered, a fantastic pro shop and a fine dining restaurant inside the clubhouse. We do not guarantee this pricing please call the club for seasonal fees.
The Neighborhood:
The Dunes is a public 18-hole golf and tennis club with a restaurant, golf pro shop and tennis pro shop. The clubhouse is a common meeting point for tennis players, golfers, locals and visitors. The clubhouse offers full service dining with spectacular views of the golf course and wildlife preserve. (Please note: Golf and tennis are not included with the rental of this home and will require an additional fee to be paid to the Dunes Club directly).
This home has a highly sought-after location that will allow for many options for beach/water access nearby. The deeded beach access is located at the end of Lindgren Blvd on East Gulf Drive just west of the Sanibel Inn -- only a 16 minute walk or a quick 5 minute bike ride away. There is limited parking available there to access by car. In addition to the deeded access you can also quickly walk, ride, or drive to the Bay entrance at the end of Bailey's Road great for fishing or kayaking, the Sanibel Causeway Island B (closest to Sanibel) for stellar sunsets, and the Lighthouse Beach (at the most Eastern point of the island) for a bit of history, use of the new fishing pier, and fun dolphin watching.
