Die einzige verbleibende Teil des Nachlasses von Gouverneur Parker, der im Jahre 1915 veranstaltete einen Besuch hier von Teddy Roosevelt. Das Blockhaus liegt in der über 2 Morgen Garten und wird von den mehr als 190 Meter von Strand zurückversetzt, um für Ruhe und Privatsphäre zu ermöglichen. Die Kabine war einer der ganz wenigen Strukturen, um Katrina überlebt, obwohl es in der Größe durch den Sturm halbiert. Mit dem Strand an seinen Füßen, es ist auch nur eine kurze Strecke weiter auf den malerischen Hafen und dem Zentrum von Pass Christian die derzeit umgebaut. Dann ist es nur eine kurze Fahrt entlang der Küste in die Hektik des Gulfport und seine Casinos.
Die Kabine ist vollständig mit luxuriöser Ausstattung im Bad und einem raffinierten Küche renoviert. Es gibt nur 2 Zimmer, wie auch das Bad, das Schlafzimmer mit King-Size-Bett und 42 "Plasma-Bildschirm, mit Kabel-TV und WLAN. Der Hauptraum, der als Wohnzimmer, Esszimmer und Küche serviert hat einen Esstisch für 6 und ein Queen-Size-Schlafsofa. Beide Zimmer öffnen sich auf einen großen Bildschirm Veranda (die ehemalige große Zimmer) ideal für den Genuss entspannenden Drinks und an kühleren Nächten sitzt vor dem Kaminofen (bequem mit dem Gas beleuchtet) oder allgemein sitzen und bewundern den großen Garten, unter dem Deckenventilator mit einem herrlichen Blick über den Golf. Es gibt einen eingezäunten Pool im Garten, nur einen kurzen Spaziergang von der Kabine aus. Das Grundstück ist eingezäunt.

This was a fantastic get-away! The Teddy Roosevelt house is a well-stocked, beautiful home. Perfect for what we were looking for. Really appreciate that the property is dog friendly as well. Our four-legged baby loved the 2 acres to run and play in. We enjoyed walks on the beach, visiting the local fish monger at the docks and relaxing. We'll definitely be back. Small, but packing a lot of amenities. Wonderful outdoor space with a fireplace, and all fenced in. Expansive, well groomed property that is perfect for the dogs, and hosting some friends for the day. Beautiful view of the beach and sunset, pool was a fantastic extra. Home was very comfortable, and very cozy. One drawback (not the fault of owner), the train runs close by and holds its horn too long and too loud. Wear your earplugs when sleeping. Best place on Earth for serenity when needing to get a stress reducer.
This is a wonderful cottage, in a fantastic location. This is our 2nd winter visit with our pup, and the sun and 70 degree weather was perfect. The Lanai with large fireplace is a perfect spot to look down to the beach (a previous reviewer complained that it was set back too far from the beach, but the grounds are lovely, and the distance reduces the beach road noise). The rooms are large, and spacious. The kitchen is incredibly well-equipped, with a full size fridge- handy since we visit family, and love having them over for cookouts. Plenty of towels, including beach towels, washer, dryer, flashlights, extra lightbulbs, etc.- everything functioning perfectly. Our pup was in 7th heaven- able to peruse the entire property from the Lanai, and scout around the fully fenced acreage. Tho' we have never needed her attention, the local manager is just a few blocks away. Always very responsive during the reservation process.
The area has recovered from the Katrina devastation, with many wonderful restaurants nearby, and lovely shops to peruse in "downtown" Pass Christian, and nearby Bay St. Louis. We will look forward to returning, hopefully for increasingly longer winter stays.
If you love taking vacays with your dog - book this property. The cabin is immaculate and well appointed. There is nothing more relaxing than hanging out on the 2 acres looking at the gulf . This was our 15 th visit here .
My wife and I stayed there back in October of 2015. It was all you could want for a long week-end getaway. Loved the outside patio and fireplace. Had all the essentials. Very enjoyable. Look forward to renting it again.
Just spent a weekend here and the property is beautiful. We took our dogs and they loved it. Oak trees for days and just the right mix of sun and shade. The screened porch is huge (much bigger than you think) and we lit a fire and sat out side both nights. We actually ate all of our meals outside because there is a dinette set, along with lots of different types of chairs. The cabin itself was immaculate. One disappointment was that the oven didn't work and that threw us off with some food we brought up to prepare which required an oven. Also, I agree with another reviewer in that I would add a tv to the "public" room. We watched some football on Saturday and it would have been nice to get out of the bedroom and on to the sofa to watch. The wifi didn't work at all. It said we were connected but there was no internet. I'm not sure what you are connected to if there is no internet but I have Verizon which has a huge area of coverage and so I feel certain it wasn't an issue with my phone. My boyfriend couldn't get on the wifi with his phone either, but that didn't bother us so much. The train is a little unnerving at first, and it came through each night in the middle of the night. I am a light sleeper so it woke me up. My boyfriend slept right through it. There are videos and games and some books which are nice touches, and the cookware and dinnerware are top of the line. Everything we needed-except the oven-and I feel certain that it's already fixed as we called the property management company and reported it while we were there. The pool was super clean. I even told my boyfriend I couldn't believe how clean it was. We loaded up the dogs and took them to the beach in Bay St. Louis and they had a blast. It is a super short drive across the bridge and is fun to drive through town and see the activity. It doesn't bother me that the beaches in Pass aren't dog friendly. (There are no signs but I was told that.) All in all, the visit was quite relaxing and I will definitely go again. I deducted a star because of the oven. I recommend this property highly to someone who wants to get away and relax (and unplug) and to anyone who wants to vacation with their dogs. I can't say enough about the beautiful, incredible yard.

CANCELLATIONS – Cancellations made 45 days or longer before your rental
will incur a cancellation fee of $100. Cancellations from 45 days to 30 days
before the rental will incur a cancellation fee of $200. We try to be very
fair, but last minute cancellations are very disruptive. This fee also
applies to longer rentals that are eligible for a full refund as described
Cancellation inside of 30 days or early departure does not warrant any
refund of rent unless the unit is re-rented for that time period. We will
attempt to re-rent as many of your dates as is possible at the last minute at
the best possible rate based on our judgment given how last minute the
cancellation is. Refunds and returns of security deposits will be processed on
cleared funds within 2 weeks of cancellation. If you are concerned about
having to cancel your trip, we suggest that you look into trip insurance that
is available and offered by many reputable firms online and otherwise.
MONTHLY RESERVATION CANCELLATIONS - Monthly renters must cancel Sixty (60)
days prior to check-in. Monthly renters who make a change that results in
a shortened stay must do so at least Sixty (60) days prior to check-in.
These cancellations are eligible for a full refund. Refunds for cancellations
or shortened stay changes made less than 60 days prior to check-in will be
made only if the unit is re-rented for that cancelled time period.
Rentals of more than 7 nights and less than 30 days must cancel Forty Five
(45) days prior to check-in or shall forfeit any deposits made unless the
unit is re-rented for that time period.
Rentals of 7 nights or less must cancel Thirty (30) days prior to check-in
or shall forfeit any deposits made unless the unit is re-rented for that
Bookings will only be confirmed upon payment of the $250
security deposit and 50% of the total rent due. If mailing a check, you will need
to send 2. One for the damage deposit and the other for 50% of total due.
The remaining rental balance, if any, is due no later than 30 days before
the start of the rental period. If paying by credit card, 5% will be added to
