Good Condo, Poor Management
Our trip to Kauai was splendid! The condo itself was decent, but Vacasa management was disappointing to work with. When we arrived, we were very pleased with the location and the check in process was easy. However, we noticed the first evening that the air conditioning was not working. Upon messaging the Vacasa team, they assured us someone would come look at it. No one came to repair or correct the AC unit, so we reached out again. After slow response with multiple customer service people, they finally offered us an additional floor fan. We said we would like that as it was rather uncomfortable in all three bedrooms overnight. They never brought the extra fan. It has been very hard to reach any of the customer service team aside from the automated text responses. Once our stay was over, and we reached out again, they determined they would issue us a small refund. The amount was $4/day per person that stayed. We are disappointed with this response as we specifically searched, and paid more for, a condo with AC while on Kauai. The condo itself is very spacious, well decorated, and beautifully located. It could use better stocking; for example there was very cheap and minimal cooking utensils - can opener broken, etc.). But the beach supplies and quantity of towels was wonderful to have. The neighbors were friendly and pool was a nice amenity. All in all we would recommend this condo again, but would tell future travelers to be mindful of the management company!
