Welcome to Fountainhead Towers in North Ocean City, where this corner condo offers private balconies with incredible oceanfront and bay views. Enjoy such at-home comforts as new windows and shutters, central air conditioning, a private washer/dryer, a full kitchen (with a dishwasher), and free WiFi throughout the condo. This is a place to spend your afternoons in the salty sea air, sipping cocktails, sharing appetizers, and watching the sky turn the colors of the sunset.

Situated mere steps from the ocean, Fountainhead Towers offers access to community amenities that include a beachfront swimming pool, a tennis court, a sundeck, and newer elevators that relieve wait times. You'll be practically across the road from the Gold Coast Mall, a matter of steps from restaurants and groceries, three-quarters of a mile south of Northside Park, and only two miles south of the Fenwick Island Lighthouse and tax-free shopping across the Maryland-Delaware state line.

Ocean City has adopted a noise control ordinance that makes it unlawful to cause or permit noise levels which exceed those established by the Department of the Environment of the State of Maryland (COMAR 26.02.03.02) or are in violation of Chapter 30, Article V of the Town Code. It shall be a violation of this agreement and grounds for eviction under Maryland law if these noise levels are exceeded as a result of activity on this property. Ocean City has other noise ordinances, which are criminal offenses if violated.

Loved the set up of this condo.

I appreciate that there was a private balcony in front of the condo that we could store all the Sandy items. Then is condo it self was nice and clean. The only negative I could say is the is no where to store your items. All the closets are packed and half the closets are locked. The kitchen was fully stocked and maybe even over stocked. There is no where to place your items. The beds were all comfortable. The living room furniture was great. Loved the sofa beds but I did not bring sheets for them and sheets were not provided. I absolutely loved having the extra towels. The balcony.beach side was filled with chairs so we could all enjoy together.

Location versus cleanliness

The location of this 2 bedroom condo was excellent. The cleanliness not so much. Mgmt. staff was quick to try and remedy the situations, but the condo is in desperate need of an upgrade and a very good cleaning. We would not stay here again.

Would have been a decent place at a third of the cost. Maybe.

The only good thing about this place was the view. Pictures are not representative of the unit. Broken faucets, tub was clogged when we got there, both twin beds were not attached to the frame and bed fell apart when my children laid down. Bring everything, nothing provided. Dishes pots, pans, plates, cups… cheap and nothing matches. Dryer ruined our clothes. Code for door didn’t work when we got there. Beds are hard as a rock with cheap linens. Towels were like sand paper. Shower liner was moldy, so a new one was placed over top to cover it up. Shelf missing from the fridge. Doors to balcony very hard to open, handles broken and missing screws, and lots of non matching furniture with no cushions. Could not open door to dryer because folding door was in the way. Kitchen only big enough for one person. No hangers in closets, no plunger, multiple light bulbs were out, no outlets, and the ones that there were had extension cords running on the floor, no smart tv’s. Cheap furniture, some broken and some just wobbly. Could not turn on light on front entry as light switch was rusted in place. But what a view!

Your comfort and satisfaction are very important to us, and we’re sorry that the condition of the unit did not meet your expectations. We take your concerns seriously and want to address each one to ensure future guests have a better experience. Regarding the photos of the unit, we want to clarify that the images are accurate representations of the home, though we acknowledge that the unit is older now than when the photos were originally taken. This is a common situation across many vacation rentals. We did not receive reports about broken faucets or a clogged tub during your stay or from guests who stayed after you, but we will personally inspect all faucets and the tub to ensure they are in proper working order and address any repairs needed. Similarly, we will examine the twin bed frames and make any necessary repairs to prevent them from collapsing. The kitchenware will be reviewed, and if any items are found to be in poor condition, we will replace them with matching, higher-quality pieces. While we have not had reports of the dryer damaging clothes, we will inspect it thoroughly and repair it if necessary. We have had maintenance check the door lock, and it is currently functioning properly. During your stay, we also provided physical keys to ensure you had access. We understand how important this is and will continue to monitor it closely. Regarding the beds, mattress firmness is a personal preference, so we are unable to update them, and the linens used are consistent with those provided in all units within this building. Towels are standardized across all Vacasa homes, so we cannot replace them with different options, but we appreciate your feedback. We will replace the moldy shower liner and the missing shelf in the refrigerator promptly. While we cannot add more outlets, we will inspect the extension cords and secure them to ensure safety. We will also reach out to a sliding glass door vendor to service the balcony doors so they open and close smoothly. The balcony furniture will be discussed with the owner to consider updates during the off-season. We will inspect the folding door near the dryer and consult with the owner about possible adjustments or removal if it obstructs access. The kitchen is designed to accommodate more than one person, and we have not received similar complaints before or after your stay, so we are unable to reorganize the space. There should be a plunger in the unit, and if it is missing, we will supply one immediately. We replaced two burnt-out light bulbs during your stay and will continue to inspect the unit for any wobbly furniture and repair as needed. The rusted front entry light switch will also be inspected and repaired to ensure it functions properly. We truly appreciate your thorough feedback and the opportunity to address these concerns. Your experience helps us improve, and we hope you will consider staying with us again in the future. We would love the chance to provide you with a much better experience and show you the high standards we strive to maintain.

Disappointing is an Understatement

An older property that could use some upgrades, but our issue was with the condition of the condo itself. Kitchen floor & counters were not clean when we got there, but that was minor compared with other issues encountered. Primary bedroom door was barely hanging on the frame by 1 hinge, and was not able to be fully closed. Primary bathroom had no cold running water, so toilet tank was not filling post-flush. We had to bring pitchers of water from kitchen to fill the tank. Also, because there was no cold water, both the shower & sink were hot water only. That being said, you could only take a screaming hot shower. Oh yeah…and the shower water would only run if the bathroom sink was also running. So even though this is billed as a 2 bed/2 bath condo, one bathroom was unusable & primary bedroom had less than ideal privacy due to door issue. Bed skirts on both beds were stained and dirty. Chair in primary bedroom was broken and not able to be sat in. Patio furniture was broken and dirty, so we couldn’t enjoy the beautiful ocean views. No response from Vacasa regarding door or bathroom issue, although they did say they would send someone over to clean the floor (like that was the big problem). In fact, my inquiry regarding late check out was only responded to 2 days after we checked out (request was made in the weeks prior to our visit). This “property management” company isn’t doing much “management” of the property.

Unethical property management cons

In my experience, the property group was asked specific questions well in advance, about the property amenities prior to booking. I specifically requested that they contacted the building manager or check to ensure we were receiving what we were paying for. We were assured that the rental would offer the amenities reflected in the listing. Upon arriving, after not receiving an email from the property manger until requesting it for the check in process, we were finally able to chase down our keys. Upon arrival, we made the property management team aware of our dissatisfaction of the property and our desire to remedy the circumstances via changing of properties were repeatedly ignored! Upon insisting we receive communication, we were told they were resolving for us via a refund, by the person that came to the property, beating on our door frantically, demanding that I send a photo of my ID. In addition, you will find the property to be far from “Modern” and more like frozen in 1990, with a time traveling couch from 2020. The fridge was literally rusted and unsanitary. The entire property had a bizarre porch locked in prison style jail cell, ours was decorated with dirt, trash, and another renter's dirty laundry bundled in a bag waiting to be picked up in the tiny walkway for us to struggle to get around all weekend. It’s “ocean front”, if you disregard the two buildings DIRECTLY in front of it. They truly outdid themselves to misrepresent the property in an attempt to justify the cost and have repeatedly ignored our requests to resolve this matter. I’m disheartened that a visit to the area for a college visit for our daughter shifted towards begging “managers” to rectify the circumstances that our mistrust in them led us to. Renters beware and if you own this property…you should be aware of the unethical practices of whom you have entrusted your property to.

Nicest unit

This was the nicest 2 bedroom unit that I have ever rented. Almost all newly redone and didn't have a bunch of decorative items that we would have to move and then put back. The balcony furniture is very comfortable as was all the furniture. The unit was very clean. Newer refrig (with working icemaker) and stove. Bathrooms have been updated with many towel bars and fixtures. The blinds were amazing. Owners have put a lot of money making this unit modern and comfortable.

Great Vacation!

We had a great stay here, would definitely stay again. Perfect views on both sides, plenty of space! We had 2 adults and 4 kids. The water pressure in the master bath is absolutely insane and they should try to change that a little bit, I don’t like soft pressure but this was way too much to where it hurt. The master bedroom has a little bit of a weird smell too, so I would just add some deodorizers or plug-ins. The last thing I would add a couple more of kid channels on the TV until there are smart ones in there for people to sign in to their own apps! Other then that we had so much fun and would definitely come back! Those are just the little tiny things I would change! We had a great vacation. Thank you!

This place has a great view! It was very clean and had everything we needed. The late checkout was so helpful! Don’t like that they make you pay for parking.
