Loved! Loved! Loved! Beautiful house and yard. We were there for a family wedding. House is within walking distance to downtown Middlebury and the University. It is completely handicap friendly which was awesome since we were with my 92 year old stroke surviving father with a walker. The owner and VRBO team were great with communications. The house was well stocked. Would highly recommend for a great stay in Middlebury!

Everything was great; the house is lovely and loved the interesting nooks and crannies within. Lots of spaces to read and enjoy the outside. Just two small issues
 We arrived after check-in at 4:00 pm, used code to unlock door but within a few mins as we unloaded, alarm went off and there was no code for us to use. Tried calling number we had from VRBO but after about 5 mins on hold, alarm ceased. Only other thought was that it might be nice to have some mini soaps, shampoo & conditioner just in case.

Great home, great location

We had a family gathering (three sisters, 2 nieces, spouses) and this home worked well for all of us, with plenty of space for cooking, gathering, etc. It's a fabulous location, easy walking distance to downtown and with access to excellent walking trails all around Middlebury.The owner was in transition to a new management company when we arrived, so there were a few things that hadn't quite been worked out but communication was decent, and an issue with a door lock was quickly remedied by the owner calling a locksmith who came right away.On the other hand, we were surprised that, though the listing said AC was included, there were only 3 window units for the 4-BR home. We happened to arrive during a period of unusually high heat and humidity, so it became pretty uncomfortable inside the house outside the bedrooms, especially upstairs, and was too hot to enjoy the common area upstairs or the lovely outside area. Obviously the owners can't control the weather, but we felt the listing should have at least said that AC was limited to just 3 BRs. We assume it's much more comfortable most of the year.And we recommend checking with the owners ahead of time about what is supplied. We bought TP, plastic wrap, and leftover containers.There's a piano, which we enjoyed, and overall this place has the cozy feel of a much-loved family home. Recommend!

House was perfect. We stayed with our adult kids and grandkids which was us and three families. We were visiting family in Middlebury and it gave us a good sanctuary in between visits. I enjoyed morning walks while some enjoyed runs on the college track practically in the backyard. Easy walks to a nice bar for drinks one evening. We enjoyed a scenic walk with my parents around downtown Middlebury.

This is a beautiful, clean home close to town. It was well-equipped and gave everyone (8 of us!) enough space. We really enjoyed our stay! The fire-pit in the back yard needs a re-do, but otherwise, all was great. Thanks!

We were traveling with our 92 yr ild relative and she is in a wheelchair and uses a walker for short distances. So we needed a home with edroom and bathroom on first floor. This property was perfect. We were here for a lacrosse weekend. This is a great house for multiple family members to be comfortable. The infant could sleep soundly while adults enjoyed family time in the spacious living room. Good cooking facilities.

The best cozy stay!

We loved our time at this house. Even during a cold and rainy spring weekend in Middlebury, we enjoyed the cozy space indoors. It was great to spend time in the living room with our family, catching up with each other. The kitchen has everything you would need. The beds were pretty comfortable. Our favorite was the little reading/office nook off of the living room to enjoy morning coffee and a book. Great location to get into town, to the college, and the athletic fields. Would absolutely stay here again next time we’re in Middlebury!

Comfy Home away from Home

Packed with books and lots of charm, this house has everything you need for a relaxing stay in Middlebury. Unfortunately for us, the weather was too cold to take full advantage of what looks to be a very welcoming backyard patio and grilling area.

Close to Rikert

The Beautiful 4BR House next to Middlebury is indeed that. The house is lovely and comfortable for 8 up to people. There was ample space to dine and lounge. The neighborhood is sweet and close to the center of Middlebury. There are plenty of grocery stores nearby and it was only a 20 minute drive to Rikert (in sunny weather), so very convenient. We happened to be there during the blizzard. A shovel was available to clear the driveway.

Middlebury Winter Week

Thanks for a nice Feb week in Midd! We enjoyed our stay and will look to return to this property again. The location and convenience of being within walking distance to town as well as right off the Middlebury College campus was great. A Home to Remember

We so enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. It has been so well cared for an exudes the love and memories of the owners. As a family of eight seniors, we appreciated the warmth and comfort of the home. It is exactly as pictured. Communication with the property owner and the property manager was always friendly and prompt. We would love to come again.

Weekend Retreat
