Perfect Location

The place was perfect for me. It was in excellent shape and very clean when I arrived. Everything was very comfortable. I fished all over the keys from the bridges to the party boats out of "Bud & Marys". Across the hwy is an endless walking, and bicycle path. And its a brisk walk down to "Robbies" and all kinds of entertainment. I even slept in the Murphy bed when my son and his wife stopped in for a short visit. They loved the pool and we played shuffleboard! This would be an excellent place if you have a boat. You can see the canal (with manatees) from the room. The sunrise view, with coffee, in the mornings were a added bonus.

Exceeded Our Expectations

We had a great time staying a month at this property. The unit was very comfortable, newly remodeled, clean, and had everything you needed. It had lots of space and storage. The owners were very nice, making sure all of our needs were met. They even gave us restaurant and activity recommendations. The pool was great, not busy. I really enjoyed the pickleball court and the locals and renters that invited us to join them in play. Great rental!

Small 518 sq. ft. and noisy

The good 1. Fully remodeled omission of dish washer, no towel bars in bathroom , minimal counter space 2. King bed super comfortable 3. Ocean access if you have a boat on canal 4. Nice gas grill. Don't grill under overhang The bad ( in no particular order) 1.one piece of upholstered furniture ok for lounging 2. Two small outdoor wood chairs very uncomfortable, four hard backless stools, equally uncomfortable 3. Bedroom window 60 - 70 feet from Overseas Highway extremely loud 24/7 (needs window treatment to deaden constant noise) 4. Pantry closet, cabinets, and drawers contained owner's belongings (needed to consolidate to make space for owner own stuff) 5. Only 1/2 access to garage for bicycle and kayak storage (owner belongings on shelves) 6. Owner should create contact list for local services, property manger, cable tv, etc. 7. Three sets of television remote controls (very confusing when cable tv was out, occurred five times.) 8. Pool rules not enforced. Smoking, dogs, glass bottles, etc. The ugly 1. There is no ocean view at this unit unless you are on the roof Yes you can see the canal 2. Possible code violations (in no particular order) A.no cover on light switch in closet B. Smoke / carbon monoxide detectors not functional C. No Ground Fault outlet on kitchen counter D. Outlet over "Murphy" bed overloaded E. No access to unit electrical breaker cabinet (in case of emergency) F. Condo association placed fire extinguishers are all out of date (need inspection/ certification) 3. The communal laundry room is the pits. Chronically dirty. Folding table, floors gross. I'm writing this so you can improve your property and get 5 stars.

Thank You for leaving your review. I will make sure I replace the light switch, outlet cover, and smoke detecter battery. I am very sorry the previous tenant took it off the wall because it was chirping low battery. As far as counter-space goes there is a 7ft Island with 4 backless saddle seat barstools that go underneath for eating and has ample room for food prep. I will also make sure the hoa keeps better track of the fire extinguishes around the building & they maintain the laundry room better. As far as the garage, the use of my personal grill, boat dock, and a dishwasher, they are not included in my rental. Communal Grills are located near the tiki huts. I allowed you to use the garage because of your concern for your kayak. I also allowed you to check in 2 days at no additional cost because you were getting ahead of a snow storm. As far as “the owners things” taking up drawers the bedroom only contained sheets, pillows, blankets in 2 drawers. The bedroom also has a 4ft x 4ft walk in closet. So I am a little confused on that part of the review. The kitchen pantry has a ton of food storage and kitchen cabinets are loaded with anything & everything a tenant would need in a kitchen. The living room also consists of 2 hanging empty wardrobe cabinets and 8 empty drawers. The other 2 drawers have all the extra linen’s & pillows for the murphy bed. As far as the patio goes we do have ocean view we are just set back 2 canals back from the ocean. We never advertise Ocean Front. Please remember you rented a 550sq ft condo not a house. As far as the pool rules & amenities we like things the way they are so I hope this review helps visitors with their decision to book our property.
