Scandi Inspired House, great walkability, homebase to city and mountains

This home is in the heart of Covington, with excellent access and walkability to major grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, medical clinics, a small hospital, library, bus stops, and we are within 5 minutes to major highways.
Our home has 3 bedrooms, 2.25 baths, an open floor concept kitchen/living/dining room, private basement and bath. We have a large backyard and covered porch complete with a gas fire pit and lights for al fresco dining or an evening of coffee and games.
Hospitality is something we enjoy and we love for others to feel comfortable in our home. We have taken care to provide the amenities that we appreciate while we are away from home staying in short term rentals. We will do our best to accommodate your needs during your stay in this beautiful corner of the country.

Everything was wonderful. House was clean and in a nice neighborhood. Close to shopping and restaurants. Host was very responsive to questions. It was perfect for my family for our stay.

It was even larger than shown in the pictures and very comfortable. And, everyone my husband played foosball against, lost, so there was that! The accommodations were comfortable and the deck and yard were certainly a great size. Our host was exceptional and the shops nearby were easy to get to and friendly.

Grandparents Getaway

This property was just terrific for our needs. Shopping nearby was a plus, it’s convent to major highways, etc. Very cozy and comfortable. The neighborhood is clean and quiet. We stayed for 6 weeks and it was so nice to come ‘home’ in the evenings to a clean, comfortable, well appointed home.

Great Location as shopping centers were close by. The only thing is that I wished the bed was a little better as every time I moved the bed spring made a little too much noise for me .

Rented for family

I rented this home for my parents and husbands family for the holiday. This was the perfect set up for them all! I visited them during their stay there and the home looks like it’s from Pinterest, so so cute!

All I can say is everything from the location, distance to stores, distance to my daughters house, check in, check out, and all communication was absolutely the best. The only thing I can say is that the stay wasn't longer.

Location, location, location!!!

We had a great stay! Close to everything! We wanted to be close to our daughter's house and to the wedding venue and we were. The house was very comfortable and clean. After flying all day to get there, it was awesome having coffee already there to brew and enjoy. We sat on the deck each morning and really enjoyed our coffee! Check in was so smooth and the owners were always available to answer any questions we might have. We will DEFINITELY use this house again. Thank you all for a fantastic stay!!

Very large & comfortable

Very happy with the house, only two negatives: The beds, very comfortable, but frames are very noisy whenever any kind of movement. The other one is a safety issue! Bathtub is VERY slippery, and floor in bathroom needs a non-slip surface when you get out. We are seniors, and the bathtub was troublesome! A non-slip mat or decals would make a stay here even more comfortable. Overall, I would definatly rate this house a 10!

The only problem we experienced was not the fault of the owners. The heat for Washington was extreme and there was no central air. Ther was an A/C in the living room and master bedroom but that was not enough to keep the residens of the other two bedrooms comfortable.

House in Covington

We were disappointed with the location of the house. The backyard backs up against a highway and the road noise was very loud with windows closed. The back view was chainlink fence, barb wire and lots of power lines. Every time I used the hairdryer (on low) it would trip the GFI. The place was rough.

The home backs up to a two lane road which gets used for morning and evening commuting, but it is not a highway. We have a wooden fence and shrubs to provide privacy.

they have made an honest effort to update this old house.stayed for 10 days it has its /- house was clean but had a bad fly problem on front and back porch, need something hanging for flies.nice back porch but they need to hang a shade so you don't have to look at the awful backyard next door, others complained of the huge power lines, but we did not mind those as much as the mess next door that you can do something about. Kitchen is nice but not stocked good at all, not even one casserole pan, terrible knifes, basically no small appliances that you would find in a normal kitchenbuilt in microwave was not working so they had a small one on counter, which took up counter space that there isn't much of anyhow, so they should have fixed the built in one or replaced it instead of using up counter space.Beds were comfortable, bed in master was very squeaky.kitchen table chairs are rustic and very uncomfortable.Overall, the house was fine for a home base during our stay to visit family in the area.

Excellent Stay and Excellent Hosts

We rented this property for our niece who came to visit for Thanksgiving. Julie was an excellent host, exceptionally responsive and the property was very comfortable and had all the amenities anyone would want and need. This property has plenty of space for adults and children and provided us with such comfort that we decided to stay in and enjoy time with family more than going out. I appreciate Julie accommodating us on such short notice and being so responsive especially considering it was holiday.

Could stay there again

The location near my daughter was perfect! Loved the peaceful decor and all available. They provided a coffee and snack so very pleased. Only surprise was the train horn but not too loud. The location disappointment was back yard road noise and high wires. Not a good view on nice back porch. The master bath toilet is very small. Not for tall or large needs. Other bathrooms very nice. I would stay again and bring family.

Temporary house

My family rented this as a temporary house for close to two months while my kids finished out the school year before we moved cross country. The house is conveniently located near shopping and restaurants and just a few minutes from Maple Valley, which we were looking for. The house is in a neighborhood, which gives it more of a homey feel than a hotel. It backs onto a fairly busy road, so there is some street noise. It is nice and bright and each room is tied to the Scandi theme. The house has wifi and a large room in the lower level which worked well for remote work. The living room has a Roku tv, so you can access all your streaming channels. The house has been remodeled, but is older and has some things reminiscent of that time like smaller bathrooms. It can also heat up on the occasional warm day, but if you open the windows you get a nice cross breeze. It also has portable a/c units, which we did not use. The hosts were super nice and responsive and this house worked well as our temporary home.
