The red barn was so fun to stay at. The view was incredible!! When we were not in Yellowstone we enjoyed sitting on the hilltop overlooking the pasture land below and watching the elk!!

We had a truly amazing time here. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the house itself but the time we did spend there felt like a second home. The house was clean. The view is amazing. It’s a great location to town and to the north entrance of the park. We messaged the host before comping and were able to check in a little early which was so helpful. We had great vacation and plan on coming back. There were 6 adults in our group and everyone was extremely comfortable in the house.

5 Star All Around, Responsive Host, Amazing View of the Yellowstone River, very quite and peaceful ! Cabin is decorated perfectly for the area with a special touch. Then at night was truly special to see more stars than you can imagine. And the ELK WOW !! Highly recommended !!

The Red Barn could use a little update. Washer had hard water scum in soap dispenser which I told the host about. Hard water requires a little TLC. We had an issue with the tv but host was quick about fixing the problem. Brady was great. AC units would be great but we had no problems since the nights were very cool. Location was great; less than 10 minutes outside north entrance. There was a herd of elk that roamed and were great to watch. The driveway was a little tricky the first time but had no problems after that. Maybe a curtain or blinds in bathroom would improve the privacy.

The cabin was great for our 5 day trip to Yellowstone. We had 6 people total in the group, and the place worked out perfectly for us. The rooms were cozy, and the dining table was perfect for us to all eat together for breakfast and dinner. The kitchen is a good size for a few people to work together for the larger meals. The only thing missing from the kitchen is some baking trays for roasting some veggies, so we had to get creative and roast some in the toaster oven, saute in a pan, or get a cheap aluminum tin to use. Despite having only one bathroom for 6 people it never felt like we were fighting over who gets the bathroom when, which was something I had some concerns about before the trip, so I'm glad it was fine. We did have one issue with the dryer, but fortunately the host was able to get it sorted out early on in the trip while we were out in the park. Overall, it was a great stay, and everyone was happy with the cabin we selected.

The view was lovely and the house was well put together. The fireplace does not work if you are hoping for one and there was no ice maker. The house is on a steep incline but very close to the town and Yellowstone. Very dusty, and not suitable for cooking during the warm summers. Even with windows open the house gets very warm, upwards of 80 inside when cooking. Cannot keep doors open be aide of lack of screens and animals and pests can get into the house. Not really enough space to feed all the people it can sleep and you have to put a towel down when showering because the water leeks out of the shower and out of the bathroom door.

Sorry to hear your experience was unsatisfactory! I would like to address some of your concerns for future guest- all of the windows in our home have screens except the three small windows under the large bay windows at the front of the building, as is intended. Our kitchen features a brand new full size range and brand new full size fridge, but the fridge does not include an ice maker as stated on our website. We have a dining room table that seats 6, which has expansion leaves to facilitate 4 more people, with chairs. As you and I discussed, the gas stove is turned off because we do not have a responsive fire department here and after a close call, our insurer recommended that we disable it. Which makes sense with the daytime temps being close to 100 degrees lately. The steep incline you mentioned is a standard dirt driveway, around 300 feet, that anyone can easily traverse in any vehicle. The shower, which is tiled along with the floor, has a fully functional curtain and I’ve never had a guest mention this issue before. It’s odd that you have included pictures, but not specifically of these concerns, so I wanted to clear the air for our future guests. Wonderful visit, excellent location

As a family of 2 adults and 4 kids we had a great visit at this property. There was plenty of space for everyone and the location of being near the North entrance of Yellowstone but still having the privacy of open country was perfect.

Peaceful homebase for Yellowstone

This house was a wonderful place to use as a home base for our adventures in Yellowstone. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility instead of staying in a busy town. We could truly relax and enjoy each other's company. Would definitely stay again!

Great place pretty close to the north entrance. It got warm in the house but we were able to open the windows and it was nice. Great view of the mountains and quiet even though the highway was close. We would definitely stay again! The check in process and communication was great.

The red barn had everything we needed for a great stay! One of our best experiences was hiking to the OTO ranch, less than a half mile from the barn….a much bigger elk herd than what we saw in Yellowstone, and the ranch itself was very interesting.
