Sorry, didn’t meet your expectations, Jeff I think the pictures show everything as it is…The roof did get replaced over the summer and as is always done, they delivered the materials right before they do the job and there was one pallet that needed to be removed after the job. Sorry. There’s a lot of cottonwood, and that can sometimes be mistaken for spiderwebs, but it is right next to a regional park and there are insects outside. We try to keep them out of the inside though.

Shobha was our first VRBO guest. Unfortunately, we would not host Shobha again. She called 4 hours after check in said several nice things and then said she just wanted to "put us on notice". She claimed she found a hair in the shower and asked if the place was professionally cleaned. I assured her it was. She asked whether the beds were clean. I assured her they were. I offered to have my hosting partner follow up with her, but she immediately declined saying "no problem" several times. I did let her know where the cleaning supplies were kept. Our cleaning protocol consists of professional cleaning, after which my co-host and I check every room, and bathroom, adding finishing touches, extra polishing of faucets, mirrors, etc, making sure there is no evidence of hair in any rooms, fluffing the pillows and making the place look and smell fresh, thoroughly inspecting the kitchen, not only making sure they’ve been cleaned but adding more shine to anywhere that could use more shine. Cleanliness and aesthetics (as depicted in the photos) along with prompt follow-up through excellent communication are top priorities for my co-host and I, so, when Shoba said, "no problem", I believed the matter resolved. We did not hear from her again until... At the end of her stay, she indicated she would like to leave a good review "but" demanded a $180 cleaning fee credit. We were very surprised and asked her to explain this request. She said she had "6 witnesses" to our phone conversation which was on "speaker phone". We were taken aback, we think cleaning is one of the most important aspects of a good stay, I can assure all guests that the house was clean. There were a couple of items broken during their stay, but nothing serious and those items have since been fixed. Regarding the BBQ: Most VRBOs don’t have BBQs because people don’t clean them up after themselves and then complain that they aren’t clean. Future guests should know that we have an extra set of clean grill grates in the cabinet below and now have a rule that guests must run bbq grates and tools in the dishwasher. Can anyone imagine we would leave “incomplete cleaning” for our first VRBO or any guest? We would not think of it.
