The Hideaway on Round Lake Hinton Bay

Overlooking Hinton Bay on Round Lake, on tree lined Linden Road, our lake home is on one of the most desired lakes in the Hayward area. Located just a 15 minute drive from downtown Hayward, with clear water and easy access to year-round recreation, shopping and dining, The Hideaway is the perfect place to stay for your next family or small friend-group getaway, vacation, or retreat.

The Hideaway is a beautiful lake home featuring a traditional northern Wisconsin feel with a slight modern twist. The home includes an open concept kitchen, dining and living area for your group to enjoy stunning views of the lake. Connect your phone to enjoy your favorite playlists or podcasts on our Sonos speakers (download Sonos app to use speakers). Whether cooking for yourself or a group of eight, mealtime prep is a joy in the fully stocked kitchen (complete with stainless steel appliances, microwave, separate filtered drinking water tap, dishwasher and disposal). The kitchen is stocked with paper towels, kitchen trash bags, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, food storage baggies, etc. Dishwasher detergent and hand soap are also provided. The large island provides abundant prep space, a gas range, granite countertops, and beautiful views all around. Our large dining table comfortably accommodates a group of 8, and the kitchen island seats 4. Just out the living room door is the large, shaded deck where you can enjoy drinks and a meal on the large, granite dining table (seats 6), or simply relax and take in the sights and sounds of the lake. If grilling is your passion, you will love the gas grill overlooking the lakeside fire pit. The deck is the perfect spot to start your day by greeting the sunrise with a cup of coffee, and ending your day by watching the moonrise and stargazing with a glass of wine, a cold beer, a smooth bourbon, or a cup of tea.

The cozy but spacious bedrooms include comfortable mattresses and pillows, along with ample storage space for your clothing. On the main level, the primary bedroom (with king bed) boasts stunning views of the lake. The second bedroom (with queen bed) is also on the main level, and also has partial views of the lake (although not while lying in bed). The main level bathroom contains sink/vanity, toilet, and shower/tub combination. The third bedroom (queen bed, plus two twin beds) is located on the lower level. The lower level bathroom contains sink/vanity, toilet and shower. The washer and dryer (detergent and fabric softener provided) are also located in the lower level bathroom.

If you will be "working from home" during your stay, you will not be disappointed with our newly added executive desk/office area outside the third bedroom; it is a well lit, comfortable spot to complete your tasks (with a strong WiFi signal for all of those Zoom calls).

Also located on the lower level, the casual rec room area is a great place for watching movies from the leather sectional sofa on the new 55" HDTV with soundbar (stream or use the DVD/Blu-Ray player and movie selection provided), doing puzzles, playing board games, or ping pong.

Another great gathering space is our lake view fire pit, complete with 8 comfortable, all-weather Adirondack chairs, perfect for sharing time together at the end of a fun-filled day.

Summertime lake enjoyment includes our private dock with swim-up steps, 2 Adirondack chairs on the dock, 100 feet of swimming beach, kayaks (2 provided), and fishing. Public boat launch is conveniently located just a 5 minute walk from The Hideaway. If you choose to bring your own boat, or rent from the marina, you can tie up to our dock (pontoon and lift are NOT included with your rental of the cabin).
For your convenience and enjoyment, Round Lake Marina is a full service marina, and Round Lake has two full service, boat up restaurants! Whether by boat or by car, Powell's on Round Lake and The Dock Bar & Grill are great for a casual bite to eat.

Golf courses, hiking and biking trails are abundant in the Hayward area, and do not disappoint! The area is also popular for hunting.

Winter in the Hayward area does not take a back seat to summer! Enjoy your vacation while cross country skiing, snow shoeing, ice skating, snowmobiling, ice fishing, winter biking, etc.

This home is a special place to us; it is meant for family vacations and small group gatherings. We ask that you respect it and treat it as your own. Sorry, no smoking and no pets. Please note: access to the garage is not permitted.

During the months of June, July and August, rentals are a 7 day minimum. *NOTE: guests must bring their own beach/lake towels and any throw blankets to be used outside by the fire pit area.
