Charming cottage tucked away in the woods, convenient to ponds, town, ocean

This 2-bedroom cottage is nestled on a wooded hillside overlooking a salt marsh in the Indian Neck area of Wellfleet. Wildlife abounds around the cottage, with regular sightings of rabbits, foxes, turtles, wild turkeys, and many types of songbirds. There are several other small cottages nearby on the hillside.

There is a large deck with a dining table that seats six, four Adirondack chairs, and a gas grill, as well as a fully-enclosed outdoor shower with hot water.

The open-plan living space has two sets of sliding doors that open up onto the deck, providing ample natural light. There is a small but well-equipped kitchen, renovated in winter 2023. Appliances include a full-size refrigerator, electric range, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender and food processor. In the kitchen, you'll also find an AquaTru countertop reverse osmosis drinking water system that provides ultra clean water for drinking and cooking. A counter height table with seating for four is between the kitchen and living area. Two additional chairs are in the hallway closet.

The comfortable living area adjacent to the kitchen has a spacious sofa and two armchairs, along with a TV equipped with basic cable and a Roku device to connect your preferred streaming services. Three skylights in kitchen/living area provide extra light and open up to help cool the house throughout the day (there is air conditioning too!). Behind the cottage you’ll find an extra-large hammock surrounded by towering pitch pines.

The house has mini-split AC/heat units in each bedroom and in the main room to keep you comfortable on particularly hot or cold days. New luxury vinyl plank flooring installed in bedrooms in 2022; Pella sliding patio doors installed spring 2023.
