Custom Built Home steps from the Santa Fe River

Come enjoy this gorgeous home on the Santa Fe River just minutes away from Ginnie Springs, Ichetucknee Springs and the Suwannee River. Sit in the water soaking up the amazing fishing or just playing in the crisp water. If you enjoy diving it doesn't get any better then this. This spacious 3 bedroom 2 bath and a outdoor heated shower, has a large open floor plan a gourmet kitchen, huge fireplace, teak wood floors throughout the house and an outdoor fire pit and plenty of seating and decks for family to make memories. The Garage is also heated and Air conditioned. 16 stairs will take you to a flat walk to the rivers edge. Our home is located less then 100 yards from the boat ramp and plenty of parking and a pavilion for very large gatherings. Sit back and watch the turkeys, deer and many birds as the river rolls by.

Stay someplace else. Great location numerous maintenance issues, TV's, lights, AC, plumbing. Silverware and barbecue grill filthy. Pots & pans limited, towels smelled and looked like rags.

Perfect getaway stay for our birthday party on the river.

The Cooksey’s were kind enough to allow us to host a birthday party at their beautiful home on the Santa Fe river. The house was far more spacious than we anticipated. We kayaked, swam, star-gazed, caught fireflies, watched dozens of fish jumping out of the water, and even had a seafood boil. Mrs. Cooksey’s was also very responsive to any questions we had about the property. We couldn’t have asked for a lovier stay and hope to book it again soon. Thank you!

Peaceful place on the river

We enjoy staying at this peaceful house on the Santa Fe River. The boys enjoyed fishing and it’s not far from Ichetucknee Springs tubing. We have visited on more than one occasion. I cannot say enough nice things about the host! They are quick to respond and the amenities made our vacation enjoyable. Hope to visit again in the future.

Great River Getaway

The photos do not do this place justice. As soon as you walk in the front door you can see the river from the huge windows that stretch across the back of the house. The kitchen is well equipped and nice for cooking a meal. The place is comfortable and spacious. The swing looking out over the river was an amazing place to sip coffee and watch the sunrise light up the river fog. We will definitely book this place again.

Amazing!

It felt like home! Though beautiful, we easily immersed ourselves into this lake home and felt completely comfortable and relaxed! It was clean and very functional. The pictures don’t do it justice. We are already talking about coming back!

Baptism getaway

Rented the home for two days to celebrate my daughters baptism with friends and family in the area, the house was absolutely beautiful and the location was breathtaking. Will definitely be making plans to come back in the summer.

Great location to enjoy the springs!

Great house, right on the Santa Fe River. Spacious with room for everyone to spread out. Fire pit for the evenings and great kitchen for meals. This house is not near any grocery stores so plan ahead. We did and enjoyed our stay. We visited Ginny, Ichetucknee and Fanning springs all close by the home. Thanks Cooksey family

Relaxing and family friendly

The house and property are beautiful and so peaceful. It was large enough for my kids and granddaughters to stay and very family friendly. We saw deer, otters, birds, fish, turtles, hummingbirds and even a small alligator sunning itself, on our last day. It is so close to the Springs we visited 1-2 everyday we were there. The river behind the house is so relaxing, it was high because of all the rain so we weren't really able to get in the water but fishing was great! The house had toys, games and books to keep the kids entertained but the back area was were we spent all our time.

Bruce and I have vacationed with our family for over 14 years and had always said, "we would buy a house here one day" Once Bruce retired from the City after 37 years we decided to start looking. We absolutely love coming to the river as often as possible and we have made so many memories with our 2 sons and countless friends and family that have joined us over the years while vacationing in the area. the first home we ever rented is located about 2 miles south of our home and goes to show you, dreams so come true.

We fell in love with the single story as we have elderly parents and the floors, when you get here you will see why. The craftmanship in this home is unbelievable.

This home was built in 1972 and it was completely renovated in 2012 when all that was kept was the fireplace. It is made with rocks from the area and is absolutely stunning. The wildlife in the area is a sight to be seen. They are able to live in their own environment and always remember they were here first. The fishing in this part of the river is the best in north Florida.
