Charmante Hütte sitzt direkt am Wasser am Westufer von Seneca Lake, NY, mit privaten Bootsanlegestelle. Komplett eingerichtet, inklusive Kabel-TV und WiFi. Saisonal. Im Herzen der Seneca Lake Wine Trail und nur eine kurze Fahrt von Watkins Glen International Race Track. Angemessene Mietpreise, wöchentlich oder 3 Nächte Minimum (Frühjahr & Herbst). Wir sind haustierfreundlich mit Vor-Genehmigung. Wir sind 12 Meilen von Watkins Glen und Watkins Glen State Park entfernt. Zentral gelegen in der Nähe von Rochester, Syrakus, Corning und Ithaca & Elmira. Voll ausgestattete Küche; Bad mit Dusche; Gartenmöbel, Picknicktisch; Feuerstelle. Lake Cottage

My family and I had a great time staying at Nick and Linda’s lake cottage. They were very kind hosts and the location is excellent for visiting wineries and Watkins Glen. The view of the lake is gorgeous from the cottage and the dock.

Perfect lakeside cabin retreat!!

Our stay was even better than we were hoping for! The screened in porch lets you be right at the waters edge with no bugs, perfect shade and tranquility. The cabin has everything we needed (including reliable AC and tv if the kiddos insist on some screen time because they don’t know any better). The dock is inviting and safe (even for kids) has plenty of room for both relaxing and jumping in. The hosts make you feel like family, we would absolutely go back!

Seneca Lake House

this quaint house is right on the lake with an authentic cabin feel. The location was perfect for exploring Watkins Glen, Seneca Lake and Cayuga Lake, and Ithaca. We enjoyed the peaceful mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Family Cottage Get Away

GPS does not bring you to the exact property or where we were supposed to park. We were not provided directions on how to arrive, to look for the house number on a tree further up the road etc. When we arrived confused and further confused because the house number had been covered with holiday decorations the owners were rude.The appeal of the property is that it is lake front, the lake is beautiful. There is however no shade! They have a very long list of rules posted in the house to follow and one rule is that you cannot put up a tent or sun shade. So just endure the sun! You are required to sign and additional lease which is cumbersome and not electronically friendly. The owners live on one side of the rental and additional family are on the other side. You are watched at all times and the lawn of the rental is the neighborhood highway for foot traffic. No privacy! The owner will interrupt your private time and harass you. It was the worst rental experience I have ever had. I cannot fully describe the horror of renting from these two, their rudeness, attitude, and complete lack of boundaries or respect to renters who only wanted a few days of peace on the lake. Oh and the stairs, the stairs are not to be taken lightly. They are terrible!

I am very sorry that this is your interpretation of our interaction. It was 4 July holiday so I apologize for having decorations up on one of the areas that provided the house number. I do not believe we were rude upon meeting you, in fact, we drove our truck up the hill to unload your belongings in order for you not to have to use the stairs for carrying your baggage. On Seneca Lake it is a common use of properties to walk along the lakefront, whether it’s family members or other neighbors. There is no other way to get to your neighbors property. I’m also sorry that you felt you were being watched, I guarantee that was not the case. The only time that we addressed you first, as opposed to you addressing a comment to us, was when you allowed your dog to defecate in the front yard, and then go about your day without picking it up, my husband simply marked it and brought it to your attention so that it wouldn’t be overlooked or stepped in by others. We were very, very taken a back by your aggressiveness after that incident. As to the rules, they are typically just common sense items. The rule state that there is no camping and therefore no tents are allowed on the property however, whenever we’ve been asked, a sunshade is certainly acceptable. I sincerely hope that you will have better experiences in your future and I strongly recommend some anger management therapy.

This is a simple but comfortable cottage, spectacularly located right on Seneca Lake with its own private dock. There are other homes and people nearby, but everyone seems to respect each other's privacy. A couple of things to be aware of: You need to bring in your own drinking water, and there's a very steep staircase down from the parking area, so probably not the spot for people with mobility issues. But if you want a lovely base where you can enjoy the lake and all of the surrounding activities, it's a great spot! And the hosts, Linda and Nick, were very welcoming and communicative.

This was a great cabin for a getaway! I would recommend an AWD vehicle for the driveway and definitely heed the warning about the steps. It is a LOT of steps. The cabin is very tiny as listed, but for a few adult women it's a good size. It is also in a little cove with about a dozen other houses. Each one is only about 5-10 feet apart, but otherwise the cove is private and would be great for kids to play in. The views are spectacular and the location can't be beat. Definitely plan to bring in your own drinking water and most of your supplies. The owner was very responsive when we had an issue. I would definitely recommend this place for a girl's trip!

Awesome location!

Loved our week at the lake! Brought 2 dogs that loved having access to waterfront. Great location with all the conveniences of home. Very clean, friendly owners next door in case you need anything. Small cottage - good for 2 people. Wish bed was bigger but was comfy!! Rented a boat for a couple of days. Great fun but expensive! Nice relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely recommend. Pleased 😊

Relaxing week in a super friendly neighborhood

The location is the best that you can hope for Seneca lake. The cottage is dated, but has everything you need for the week. Nike and Linda are very easy to communicate. It's a very small neighborhood and everyone is so kind and friendly. We were invited to their pizza party, which really makes us fell part of the neighborhood. While my kids and our dog out in the lake for kayaking, one neighbor noticed they went a bit too far for the dog and called them back. Our dog learned to jump from the dock and enjoyed the toy that Nike gave to her! It is a relaxing week for all of us. We just wish more fish :-)

There is nothing fancy or extravagant about this cabin but it was just right for what we wanted. We were in town for the Ironman Traithaon and we wanted a simple place to stay by Lake Seneca. For the price we paid, it was perfect as we were only 30 mins away from Geneva, the race location.3 adults stayed and it was comfortable. Bathroom was a little tiny but we managed. Property was well situated right on Lake Seneca with an amazing dock. We would jump in the lake every morning to go for a swim. The firepit lake side was also a hit for us. We rented kayaks from Reagan’s and they delivered them to the cabin. Lots of vineyards on the main road to visit and Watkins Glen was conveniently only 15 mins away. The hosts were gracious and very kind. Linda was always responsive to my questions and Nick was always way too kind to us especially on our last day. Because we were in town for the triathalon and had a lot of equipment, he helped us navigate the one negative thing about the property, the 40 stairs to the parking spot (lol). He was gracious enough to drive our equipment up to our car - a blessing! Lake Seneca is an amazing area. It’s even better to enjoy it with a cozy cabin literally right on the lake!

Week on the Lake

Our family of 4, with a teen and a tween, had a great week at this cozy cottage with a dock on a picturesque cove. Reminds me of the fishing cottages my parents took us to- just what you need, collected over time by people who’ve loved the cottage over a couple of generations, and have the Tupperware, games, and fishing themed lamps to show for it. It has the amenities you need for a comfortable stay- AC and internet for WFH on for humid days, lots of screens and a fan for cool nights. The kitchen has all the basics and a gas grill outside. Note that you need to bring drinking water! Good hot water in the shower- which is a squeeze for 6ft tall folks, but fine. Screen porch is great 24/7. Bring a sunshade for the yard- ours was useful for drizzly days too. The lake has lots of seaweed and greenery growing in the shallows- we rented paddle boards to go out and swim in the deeper water, not braving the seaweed forest around the dock. The cottage is one of several small “vintage” cottages in a row along this shore, and the owners and their sweet small dog are right next door. They are friendly and helpful and respectful, very lovely neighbors! tho’ it could be too close for vacationers that want to feel out there on their own. The steps are steep to the parking area but we were able to do a quick unload on arrival, into a wheelbarrow on the cottage level lawn. We would return prepared with our sunshade and paddle boards!

I have been on Seneca Lake - in this exact cove - since birth! My husband enjoyed fishing Seneca Lake, and we found a cottage together just 2 doors from my parents' and childhood summer home in 1978. In 1985, the adjoining cottage became available and we thought it would make a great place to introduce others to our lovely area.

It's a great cove area enjoyed by many great friends from near & far. I've loved the area literally my whole life! I learned to swim here before I could walk; I've water-skied, fished and sunbathed; read many, many wonderful books that have taken me around the world, but this remains my favorite place to be.

Our Seneca Lake Great-Getaway Cottage is uniquely centered in New York State. We have easy access to major airports - Rochester, Syracuse and Buffalo; quick transit to Corning, Elmira, Ithaca (Cornell University), as well as the larger cities of Rochester and Syracuse. Wineries, breweries and distilleries abound. Fabulous restaurants as well as Mom & Pop eateries, antiques and Farmers Markets. Our favorite place is fireside at the beach with fresh caught salmon, trout, or panfish for dinner, but there is literally something for everyone.
