Lake Pokegama Cabin - Chetek Chain of Lakes

Year round fun on Pokegama Lake, within the Chetek Chain of Lakes. Located along a "no wake zone", you can enjoy watching the boats idle by from the lakeside fire pit or the 4-season room. There are no steps down to the shoreline where there are two private docks and swimming platform. Quick access to several bars/restaurants and less than 2 miles to downtown Chetek. Newly remodeled. 2 bedroom and sleeper sofa in living room. Pets welcome. During peak season, only Sunday to Sunday rentals will be accommodated.

Our experience here.

I have to say our stay was some what disappointing.The place itself was attractive enough but lacking some pretty basic amenities. No shelves or cupboard for our groceries. No place to hang ,hang up clothes,other than hooks.There was no HOT water for the shower. Tepid at best!Why no shade for the front window? The view is beautiful but the early morning sun is blinding. Can't read or watch the early morning news without sunglasses!Now, the biggie. The beds are horrible! Played musical beds,to no avail. Since returning home, I am now seeing a chiropractor.I encountered ants and spiders. The window sills need to be cleaned. Needless to say we won't be back.

Quaint cabin in a great location!

Clean, cozy, quaint cabin in a great location with beautiful views! Lisa has thought of everything to make sure your stay is enjoyable whether you need to stay in due to rain and play board games or sitting outside lakefront playing bean bags and grilling (all provided for your enjoyment).

Hiking Trip to Northwest WI

We loved staying at this cabin! We made the trip to hike 6 state parks and this cabin was a great home base for us. It was great to be able to cook breakfast before we headed out hiking and then dinner when we made it back. We were able to relax in the cabin in the evenings and this cozy cabin was perfect for that! We greatly enjoyed the views of the lake out the windows each morning and being able to bring our dog along as well! He loved being by the lake and relaxing in the cabin as well! We had such a wonderful stay!

Relaxing lakefront

Enjoyed a long Fall weekend with the family. The lake was quiet, colors beautiful. Cabin stayed warm and cozy despite cool weather outside.

Our Honeymoon Stay

I LOVED this little cabin. It was immaculate and super cozy! We arrived in the evening and it was so easy to enter my code and move right in. The mornings were crisp and beautiful on the lake. My daughter and her husband live in Rice Lake and Lisa was so gracious to let us have them come and spend a little time with us. There was a terrific cantina within walking distance and our only regret was that we missed Gilligan's bar and grill...we heard they were awesome! I would recommend this place to anyone and hope to come back! Jodi

Nice

Cottage was nicely kept and clean. Kitchenware was nice clean and all matching (which is rare in a rental) in our experiences. Bed was comfortable, bathroom is small but very clean. Quiet neighborhood close to town and restaurants.

Nice cozy place

Had a great getaway with family. Nice area with great places to eat. Caught some nice 8” gills both days we went. I like that you can access some of the bars with your boat. Met some nice people everywhere we went.

Wedding weekend

We had a great stay at this cute little cabin! it was our wedding weekend, was in close proximity to the heart of Chetek. We ate at Gilligans a couple times and the food and service was phenomenal. We would definitely stay here again if the opportunity presented itself!

Wonderful stay!

Just got back from a great weekend at this cabin! Everything was just as expected and location, cleanliness, communication, etc. were all great. We enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding and relaxing in the sun especially. Hope to visit again in the future!

Cute cottage

This cottage is well-maintained and well stocked. It's very close to town and restaurants. We all enjoyed sitting out and watching the boat traffic passing by. Since the cottage is in a no-wake zone, it's very quiet even on the weekend at the peak of boat traffic. We enjoyed our stay.

Great cabin!

Enjoyed our long weekend at the cabin on the lake. Sat on the dock and enjoyed the beauty while catching some rays! Fire pit at night with some live music playing from the local venues was a nice touch. Cabin was cozy and just right for us. Lots of great supper clubs in the area and near shops and things to do around town.

Cottage was nice-hole in dock was not so nice

We were going down to the dock to get the rope tied up to the pontoon and I fell through a rotten part of your dock all the way to my groin. My daughter who is a nurse had to peel part of the board back to be able to free my leg. It took two people to get me out. There is now a hole in the dock. My injury included swollen knee and sore wrist & shoulders. I wanted to let you know about it in case if there any liability issues? From property manager: Oh my goodness Bob. I’m so sorry. With all the rain the past week it must have weakened it. Are you okay? We’re disappointed that the response was “Oh my goodness Bob. I’m so sorry. With all the rain the past week it must have weakened it”. We all know that’s not true. I noticed it the 1st time on the dock to stay away from that section! But in an early morning time to tie up pontoon, I didn’t realize where it was and stepped through it. My disappointment is you did own it! I have enjoyed many VRBO’s but this one was a disappointed! With the weather conditions, we still had fun even with the accident on the dock. I hope we left the cabin in good condition. I also attached pictures of my wrist and hip. Just stiff and sore The property manager took no accountability for the accident on the dock & responsibility!!!!!! It weekend in several weeks - this was obscured!!

Awesome stay in Chetek!

We stayed in Chetek June 14-16th for an anniversary party. This was our first time staying in this cabin. We loved it! Great location, very well kept. Beautiful view of the lake. Lisa was very responsive to questions. Don't hesitate staying here - you will not be disappointed!

Perfect Up North Trip

This house had everything we needed. The owner was very responsive when I couldn’t figure out the AC. The wife and I enjoy sitting by the bonfire while our 2 boys were only a few feet away fishing off their dock. Having the public boat landing and 2 nice restaurants/bars just down the road was very convenient. Will definitely be suggesting this place to our friends.

Cozy, charming, and comfortable!

Lisa's property is a wondeful little lakeside gem! We stayed a weekend that was a little rainy, but luckily the house was plenty comfortable for us to spend the weekend playing board games at the spacious dining room table. When the weather finally improved we did some fishing down the road at the pier and had some luck with panfish under the bridge. Overall, the cabin is well taken care of and stocked with many convenient amenities. We'll definitely be back!

Had a great stay fish didn’t cooperate but we tried. Had some problems with my motor when we were about to leave and received great help from the couple that was coming in. Great stay!

This was our first time staying at this cabin but stay in chetek every summer for a week. We will likely rebook for next year! We loved the privacy this cabin gave us while also being just down the road from gilligans. There was plenty of space for us and the cabin felt very cozy. Lisa was very responsive and friendly also! High recommend!
