GREAT for Travel Nurses or anyone else!! 100 year old, originally a 2 room house. Rustic, but cozy, quite and relaxing. Large bedroom and living room. Kitchen and bathroom. Covered porches all the way around. Amazing back porch to sit and drink your coffee. We are DOG FRIENDLY, and have 2 of our own that will want to make friends. There is a fenced in dog area beside the house. Original hard wood floor from 100 years ago. It is close to our pool. A great place to get away from it all for a while. Washer and dryer and absolutely any kitchen essential you may need.

Another amazing stay

If you are looking for the hustle and bustle of the city this isn’t your place. But if you want peace, quiet and an occasional visit from the neighborhood Welcome Waggin’ this place is perfect. Beautiful location and terrific hosts. A throwback to a more relaxed time.

Quiet Serene Home

Robyn and Dennis are fabulous hosts. Very friendly and helpful. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The area is very quiet but only 15 to 20 minutes to grocery and restaurants. We will definitely return if we need lodging in this area again!

Loved this cute little place. Country quiet and as charming as can be. So clean you’ll think Grandma had been there overseeing the moppping. The dogs and the pool are delightful as is the company of Robyn and Dennis. I will be back.

Home Away From Home!

A Hidden Gem

We absolutely loved our stay here. We came for a wedding nearby and it worked out great. It is a quaint cottage, tucked away in the backyard of Robyn's property. There is complete privacy if you wish, but full access to the pool as well, which we took advantage of as much as we could. The house may be small, but it worked very well for my husband, young daughter and I. Everything you could possibly think you need is provided, including very comfortable bedding. The covered porch and rocking chairs overlooking the wooded property was a wonderful surprise. If you love cozy quilts, antiques and Southern hospitality this is the place for you.

Doggie Dude Ranch

My third visit (so you know I love it) but the first with my dog Hank. He was in Heaven from the minute he stepped out of the car and ran into the meadow behind the house. Daily visits from the farm dog pack were the highlight of his day and he loved getting the chance to pretend to be a farm dog for a few days. He loves everything about the Cabin and is already pestering me to go back. 4 PAWS UP!

Peaceful Stay

Robyn made the rental process so easy. I enjoyed my extended stay in this peaceful corner of rural NC. A lovely quiet place with friendly people and dogs. Just a short drive to Rocky Mount or Raleigh. The cottage has everything you could need.

Felt right at home

Awesome place!

If you’re wanting quiet solitude place away from the big cities this is it. Robyn has done a fantastic job decorating this 100+ year old home with lots of antiques. Time on the decks was perfect for that morning coffee, evening cocktails and bbq. We just loved it here and will come back.

Our Cottage in Heaven

The little cottage is way out in the country but is simply adorable. If you like antiques and memories of the old days this is your little heaven. Quiet and comfortable. I love walking my little dog. My dog loves his new friends. I can leave him run off the leash and play with the local dogs. This city dog has become a country dog. He loves it here. Along with my husband and me. Would strongly recommend this cottage to anyone. Then to top it off the host are really great people. They are more like family as they are so nice. We love this cottage and the country atmosphere.

Dog Friendly Country Getaway

Fantastic little cabin in the country. Close to fun things if you want to have adventures, but so cozy that you might just not want to leave. We spent a lot of time with our dogs on the big property, cooking in our well equipped kitchen and watching movies together. If you have dogs, I can't imagine a better place to stay. There is a dog area that is fenced in and, if your dogs have better recall than ours, you are welcome to let them run and play with the farm dogs. Robyn and her family are so great and end up being like family by the end of your stay. Plus, they will love on your dogs as much as you will let them! We really hope for the chance to come back again.

Cozy cottage and country views

We stayed 4 nights and felt at home right away. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the surroundings. We were in town to visit our new grandkid in a town about 20 minutes away so we didn't have a lot of extra time. Don't debate, book this friendly place. Loved the decor and countryside. We hope to be back soon!

peaceful country retreat

A turn of century home which has been lovingly updated, but kept its old charm. It well stocked with a plethora of antiques. I loved the 100 yr old pine flooring. Be sure to ask Dennis how they got this cottage. Robyn was super with down home southern hospitality. The pool was quite refreshing. We definely plan on coming back.

This is a 100 year old home I bought for $1 and had moved near our pool. I spent a year fixing it up and I love it. One of my agency nurses was staying in some rough places, so I offered for him to stay here and he really enjoyed it. Now that he is back in Tennessee, I thought someone else might like to spend some time here. :) Very quite place. Many deer and wildlife around.
