Beautiful Condo at the Top of the Smokies!

Welcome past, present and future guest! We are so excited to let you know we have finished the rehab on our condo. We truly want you to feel like this is your home away from home.

Enjoy the peace and serenity in the beautiful gated resort of English Mountain. English Mountain is truly a hidden gem in the Great Smokey Mountains. As you leave all the noise and traffic behind you will be in awe of the beautiful scenery on your way to English Mountain. The crisp mountain air, the sunrises and sunsets will truly take your breath away. From the wrap around deck you will be able to enjoy all 4 seasons of the Smokies. If you are wanting relaxation, peace and beauty, you have found the perfect place. Our condo will sleep up to 4 people. There is a queen size bed in the master bedroom, and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. There is a full size kitchen, dishwasher, cookware, etc. There is internet service, smart TV and satellite TV in the living room and bedroom. There is a beautiful fireplace, just perfect after returning from the days activities. There is a washer and dryer in the condo so you don't have to worry about going to the laundry room at the clubhouse. There are NO stairs to climb, you just walk straight in from the parking lot which is right in front of the condo. The English Mountain Resort also has a pool and sauna, several outdoor grills and picnic areas.

There are so many fun things to do and see close to English Mountain. The amazing Forbidden Caverns is located underneath English Mountain and this is truly a site to see. At the English Mountain Trout Farm and Restaurant which is located on Blowing Cave Road, you can catch your own trout and the restaurant will prepare it for you with delicious sides. The Bush Bean Restaurant and Museum is a must, the food is amazing. The fun and excitement is endless, just to name a few, The Hatfield & McCoy Dinner show, The Comedy Barn, Dolly Parton's Stampede, Pirates Voyage Dinner Show, The Titanic Museum, The Wax Museum, white water rafting and many hiking trails. The list goes on and on, there is something for everyone to enjoy and make those wonderful memories together.

I loved the condo and the communication from the owners. Was very disappointed that the pole was closed. That was the whole reason that we booked there is to have a pool.

Off the beaten path

If you are looking for a place to stay that has all the comforts of home that is slightly off the beaten path, this is it! The condo was clean and provided everything needed for our two day stay. Our host was helpful and answered any questions we had right away. The only suggestion I have is to be sure you get the gate pass ahead of time if you are arriving after hours and if you need something from the store go before heading to the condo. Overall this was a great trip and a good choice of places to stay.

Beautiful stay

We really enjoyed our stay, the drive was absolutely gorgeous! Definitely take screen shots of the directions from Barbara to know where to go (so you don't get lost like we did haha). Overall very nice and we even saw a Mama bear and 3 cubs, so cool!

We had a great time! It was very cozy and big enough for our family of 4. The Mountain View was great! We had some trouble with the lock. We reached out to the owners and the reply immediately! We highly recommend and will be booking again in the future!

Quiet and comfortable

We had a nice stay on the property. Very quiet and enjoyable with beautiful scenery. Balcony was pleasant and cozy. Was nice to have a place with a kitchen and not worry about going out to find food. Condo overall was dated but very clean and comfortable. Would stay here again.

Great Getaway!

We were at the top of the mountain during peak leaf season. It was out of the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge, but still close enough for us to come and go without any issues. Just as described and very welcoming. You won’t be disappointed!

A birthday trip for my boyfriend

The place was updated. Loved the kitchen. My favorite place was sitting out on porch drinking my morning coffee. We were there 4 days and enjoyed every minute. I would recommend this place to stay. The owners responded without fell and even was able to book an extra night.

Beautiful views

A bit of challenge to find but worth it once you got the hang of it. I would recommend taking Blowing Cave Road to Alpine Road… just stay on the road and follow only the road with yellow lines. First time it took us 3 plus minutes but today only 10 mins. Neighbors were nice

This is a very nice property. It is well equipped and functional. A real plus is the detail given in the information provided by the owner. The directions to the property are both excellent and necessary. Do not depend on your GPS it will leave you FRUSTRATED. I would recommend this property to everyone.

Great weekend getaway

This property was beautiful. Very clean and updated. The porch was wonderful for early morning coffee. Condo came stocked with kcups and coffee items which was wonderful as well as towels and extra blankets and an air mattress This property is great if you’re looking to just stay in. The only downside was the commute to And from Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. A 13 mile distance took us about 35-40 minutes. If you plan to stay out during the day this wouldn’t be an issue which is what we did the second day. Overall, loved the condo and the views.

Cabin Fever Recuperation

Accommodations were excellent; clean, comfortable, and quiet. Never saw anyone with whom to check in at the gate. I arrived at 3:58 pm. Office was supposed to be open until 4 pm but it was already locked. This did not detract from the stay.I just thought it should be noted.

Beautiful location!

Excellent location!! However, if you're not used to apartment/condo life and you are a very light sleeper, you may want to reconsider. The permanent resident above us walked around during all hours of the night, and was very heavy footed. I am and have always been a very light sleeper. Needless to say, I didn't sleep very well during our entire stay. If you can sleep like my teenager, this will not bother you one bit. Other than this, it's a beautiful location with excellent views! Very clean!

Few of the positives… clean and comfortable, updated, beautiful area, fast communication, and neighbors very friendly. Negatives… almost 90 stairs to get to the pool (should have been disclosed), 30 minute drive to any store and 50-60 minutes to Gatlinburg (would be nice to tell people in listing), some noise from above neighbor but it’s to be expected when someone is above you. Overall we were very happy with our stay but never would have picked this property if we knew how far it was from everything, especially with having a small child. We felt like the stairs and approximate location should be clearly listed in the property info.

Quiet retreat

This is a beautiful little place perched up high in the top of English Mountain. I loved the windy curvy mountain drive up to her place. I've always enjoyed the mountains and the peace and beauty of them and I needed a weekend retreat just to recollect my thoughts and reflect. This was the perfect spot. The bed was comfy, the kitchen was equipped with what I needed, and I enjoyed being able to sit and reflect, do my crafts, and look out the big sliding glass window at the trees and sky and beyond. (And watch nonstop Hallmark movies!) Since it was the middle of January it was a bit cold but I did find time to sit out in the sun on the deck with a coat on and enjoy a book and a drink for at least a short while. It is far from town but that is what I was looking for. I would love to come back in the summer where I could utilize the swimming pool and other amenities. I would stay here again! Shelby was attentive to all my needs and if there was anything that needed attention she was right on it.

My family had an amazing time. We loved driving through the mountains every day. As other reviews have stated it is very windy with short turns. and definitely not for people with motion sickness. Our GPS took us up the right way.it was always better to get home before the sunset because when it was dark you notice the line start to fade up at the top so it made visibility a little difficult. Upon arrival, we had a few minor issues, but was quickly solved by the property manager, who was very friendly. Everything was very clean, except the floors which we ended up, wiping down with paper towels because my children that love to sit on the floor. We assume maybe many people just wear shoes, but we do not wear shoes in the house. The view from the balcony was beautiful. You got to see a lot of trees. The area was very quiet. The balcony does wrap around to the other side, which was really nice. We did however hear the footsteps of the neighbors upstairs. WThe kitchen was equipped with everything we neededThe laundry was very convenient and we used it a bit. The only thing with that is the room gets very humid when the dryer is on so you have to open the door to air it out. Overall, we were very happy with our stay. It was very clean and everything was updated and felt like home. Having two TVs was nice. Wi-Fi was easy to get on. In regards to the grounds at this time, the pool was closed. There was a little simple playground. Parking was right by the door making loading easy!
