Beach house in the popular Surfside Shores neighborhood in Fort Morgan, AL. Great private neighborhood beach access point in walking distance of the property (about 3 blocks or 0.4 mile). This is a spacious, recently updated property that would be perfect for your next group or family gathering. 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms total - property has 2 complete primary suites on the top level; 1 bedroom, and one bunk room on the main level as well as a sofa bed in living room. Abundant outdoor entertaining, eating, relaxing space on a main level deck as well as a private deck off of the master suite with beautiful views and sounds of the ocean. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you will need to prepare and serve your meals. There is a laundry room on the ground level and an outdoor shower. Pets considered with breed approval and fee - pet friendly neighborhood beach.

Fort Morgan Historic Site 8 miles away.
Fort Morgan Marina is 7 miles away where fishing charters are available and popular Tacky Jacks Restaurant is located.
Several golf options nearby including Kiva Dunes Resort and Golf (1.5 miles) and Peninsula Golf and Racquet Club (9 miles).
Main Gulf Shores public beach and tourist attractions such as mini golf, go karts, shopping, etc. are still an easy drive about 20 minutes away.

Overall, the stay was great.Family really loved it!! The neighborhood is going through lots of renovations on the road. We go down every year and stay in Fort.Morgan. I would recommend anyone to stay here. It was a great location, great house. If youAre not looking for being right on the beach, but are willing to drive to the beach. I would note that it is a little bit of a walk from this home to the beach access.That the neighborhood provides, if you're willing to walk.

Our family of 11 had a great time! House was great. There were a few updates that could be done but it did not affect our stay. Location is good. We rented a golf cart for the week which was great.

Good House

The house was great, not too long of a walk to the beach, the room with bikes and beach toys was a nice surprise. Kitchen had a good assortment of utensils, dishes, pots and pans. Bathrooms could have used more towels, there wasn’t enough for each member of our party to have a towel.

Spring break vacay at Surfside Retreat

Very nice home and pictures are accurate. Floors just a bit sandy on arrival, but there are 2 small vacuums on-site. Grill is the “state park” type where you cannot remove top grill surface..wish we had known in advance. Laundry room is adequate but needs some love. Kitchen trash can had no lid, making it difficult to keep the 16 month old from exploring in it. Owner is very responsive to inquiries. Would stay there again.

We had such a great time on our stay!

We had a great time on our stay at this home. I had never been to Gulf Shores, so I didn't really realize until we got there that this home is in a more secluded location and not right in with all the hustle and bustle. We absolutely loved the quiet neighborhood and walked it almost every night. The beach was a little bit of a hike in the heat. But once there, it's an almost private beach, as it's just shared by just the homes in that neighborhood. The bedroom set up fit us perfectly, as we came with grown daughters, sons-in-laws, and grandchildren. While we were there, the washing machine broke, and the owner had someone there to replace it within two hours -- she was extremely responsive. Overall, I would highly recommend this home for a group vacation -- the home and location are terrific. If we come back to this area again, we will definitely stay here a second time.

Nice house, but dirty

The house is nice and as described on the listing. It is overall in good condition. Main complaint is the cleanliness of the property. The floor was particularly dirty. Also pay close attention to what the house says it includes and don’t expect anything not specifically listed. In other words plan on buying/bringing Everything. Soap, trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper. Laundry detergent, etc. Not a huge cost, but we found ourselves making multiple trips to the Dollar Store…. We left everything we purchased, but I assume they must remove all this type of stuff between each renter.

Perfect Vacation Home!

What an amazing vacation we had this past week staying in this beach house. We had a large group and the house was perfect for us. Beach access was close, the layout was perfect, check-in/check-out was super easy, and the house is beautiful. The house sits off the road and neighbors aren't right on top of you. It was so peaceful. All the extras (bikes, beach toys, umbrellas, tents, etc.) were such a fun surprise. The house isn't directly on the beach but the walk isn't bad at all. We did rent a golf cart to make it easier to haul beach stuff back and forth. Honestly, the location is one of the best parts of this house. You do have ocean views from the top balcony. The house had much more than listed and was so clean too. It was nice to have so much space for our large group to spread out. We had lots of things planned to do while on vacation but we stayed around the house and beach most all of it instead. Cooking was nice and there were beyond more than expected cooking tools, pans, and dishes for anything you might need. I would for sure recommend this house and absolutely will be booking this place again. Thank you for taking such a load off our"planning vacation" worries by providing such a peaceful, clean, beautiful home!!

Nice beach location

This was nice location for our family’s beach vacation. The private beach access meant we didn’t have to share space with a lot of people. We did rent a golf cart to haul our canopy and chairs down to the beach. It is less than a half mile walk, but becomes a little much of you are carrying a load and the temps are in the 90’s. The house had plenty of room and the kitchen had all the utensils we needed. You do need to read the instructions from the owner as to what is provided and what isn’t. We did heed them and didn’t have to make trips to the store for necessities. The handle on one of the toilets broke while we were there and the owner was very quick to respond and had maintenance right out to fix it. The internet went down for the last 3 days of our stay due to an area wide outage, which was no fault of the owner. We had a couple of family members who were trying to work, but that just gave them an excuse to spend more time at the beach. The washer had a few quirks, but cleaned our clothes. Overall we had no major complaints. This is a nice location to stay for a week at the beach.

Gulf shores vacation

The house layout was good for 2 families of 4. The downsides were that 2 towels looked dirty and 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom did not appear fully clean. There is a note saying to call cleaning people and they will come back at no charge but you have to call themWITHIN 1 HOUR of arrival -with unpacking and getting groceries etc it is almost impossible to look for problems like that within 1 hour of arrival. The kitchen could be better stocked with nonstick skillet. We were not given washer dryer code until we asked for it. The bunk bed mattresses were not comfortable. There was no starter hand soap etc. Also, only ONE set of towels per person for the week. We have never experienced that before-usually there are 2 sets so one to use while other in wash. 1 for an entire week is not adequate. Also we had 1/2 roll of toilet paper as the starter for Tp for the week. The walk to beach is far-we had to rent a golf cart which was unexpected. The host was very responsive and that was a plus.

Our stay at this property was very, very nice. The house was clean upon entering. Navigation to the property was very easy. The beach was about a quarter mile walk. It would have been nice to have golf cart, buts thats only because I'm old and don't like to walk thar far,, lol! Close to all amenities you may need. Lots of steps in the house depending if you stay upstairs or not. The kitchen is updated. This house is pet friendly and family comfortable! Thank you Shonna. I would have given you more stars if i could!!

Family Getaway

The home is wonderfully secluded, offering excellent privacy while still being close enough to Gulf Shores Parkway and Orange Beach for dining and shopping. The bedrooms are spacious, and there's a great living area perfect for hosting large group dinners. Outdoors, the property is equally impressive, featuring three picnic tables and additional seating. The private beach is just a short 0.4-mile walk away. I highly recommend this home for both large groups and smaller families.

Stayed eight nights. Took several ferry rides to Dauphin Island, went to NAS Pensacola to watch the Blue Angels, and ate a lot of great food. Enjoyed our 56th anniversary.

Wonderful house and very comfortable

We stayed as a family of 11. Children and Adults, it was very comfortable and just the right size for us. A short walk to the beach and we really enjoyed our morning coffee on the deck. Would highly recommend this for a beach vacation

Spring break with family

We enjoyed our weekend trip with family to the Fort Morgan area. The house was nice with plenty of room for our family! The kitchen was well stocked with needed essentials to prepare meals and serve them also! We enjoyed watching movies on the big screen tv in the living room!! Beds were comfortable too! I would suggest the handrails on stairs going into the house to be upgraded to make it easier to grasp because the stairs are steep and it’s hard to hold onto the handrails.
