Get away, relax and have fun during your stay at The Cottage. Whether you are on a family vacation, a friend's weekend or a business trip, you will enjoy our spacious fully furnished home. The Cottage can comfortably sleep up to 15 people and has a large beautiful 1.2 acre yard for you to enjoy. What special memories you will make at The Cottage spending precious time together having fun cooking and eating, ordering in, if you choose, playing games, watching movies, going for a walk, relaxing on the deck and around the fire pit. We are located in the charming and historic town of Albert Lea, Minnesota or otherwise known as The Land Between the Lakes. The town offers many fun activities to do, good food to eat and places to shop.

Perfect Place for a Family Weekend

We were in town for a wedding and this was a perfect place for our family to stay. The backyard, patio and games were amazing and the house had everything we needed. Would stay here again.

Family reunion

We’ve rented vacation homes for several years from California to Florida and this was the best one so far. The amenities, rooms, and outdoor green space were great. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating. Definitely stay there again.

Great gathering place

Very clean, comfortable, provided everything one would expect. Great place for extended family to gather and relax, indoors and outdoors. Listing pictures and descriptions were accurate. Everyone had a great time!

Wedding Adventure

We stayed for two nights. It was adorable!! Many necessities there to use. Highchair, cleaning supplies, iron, and even laundry detergent and fabric softener. Lots and lots of room for all of us!! Kids only complaint was there were no tvs in the bedrooms, but they survived!! 😂

Family get together

The eleven of us (4 families) was able to enjoy this house in a quiet neighborhood and see nature first hand out our window. Young fawns, squirrels, doe deer and many song birds. Able to go on the Pelican Breeze 2 boat cruise and the kids were allow to steer the boat. The home had many indoor and outdoor games for our young kids to bond with. The older adults tried out the frisbee golf courses in town and early morning walks or runs. We totally appreciated the host and her touches within the home and the warm feeling of each room. Very large backyard for the kids and adults to try out new sports. The kids greatly enjoyed walking thru the nearby greenhouse for plants to take home with us.

Hockey tournament

We stayed at the house with four families for our 12 year old’s hockey tournament. The location was perfect and the house was better than we imagined. Spacious, clean, and even Christmas decorations.

Perfect for large group

We were disappointed that the weather did not cooperate with us riding our motorcycles for the weekend but the cottage and surrounding area provided us with lots of fun and memorable moments for us to cherish.

I am a registered nurse and I love to play games, refurnish furniture, go on walks, cook, do landscaping and cuddling with our pets.

Together my husband and I own and operate a Wedding and Event Venue called
The Barn of Chapeau Shores in Albert Lea, MN. Purchasing this beautiful home, next to our venue, is our newest adventure. We have enjoyed renting our property out for others to enjoy when they are traveling to this area. Whether you are coming to town for a wedding, a family vacation, a friend weekend get-a-way, or traveling for business, we are thankful for your interest and hope you have a wonderful time.

When we heard this home was for sale we were very excited. We could see that this would make a wonderful rental property. With it's spacious open concept, 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, we felt it was a perfect home for the larger groups planning a trip together or for that couple that wants a larger comfortable home. We also could envision our renters enjoying the beautiful 1.2 acre lot with their family and friends. Playing outdoor games, grilling, sitting on the deck or around the fire pit.

Albert Lea, or otherwise known as, The Land Between the Lakes, is a small quaint town that is full of so many things to do, places to shop and eat. We are surrounded by several lakes and many enjoy walking or biking around Fountain Lake, fishing, boating, canoeing, kayaking, tubing and so much more. Our historic downtown offers many unique boutiques and stores to shop at as well as places to eat. We hope you love our Cottage and our town as much as we do.
