Welcome to the Stillwoods Cottage, a boutique cottage rental, located in the heart of the Madawaska Valley in Renfrew County. If you love luxurious accommodations, the outdoors, untouched nature, hiking, swimming, canoeing, and ATVing in the summer, skating, skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling in the winter, then this is the place for you. A scenic 2.5 hour drive from the GTA and 2 hour drive from Ottawa. Offering unobstructed views of the Madawaska Highlands, a massive private spring fed pond, surrounded by boreal forest and trails, this 4 acre secluded property has the best of nature, all in one location.

Timber House - Sleeps 4
The newly built custom Timber House, features an open concept fully equipped kitchen. The beautifully appointed main living space with 22 foot exposed timber frame, and full height windows with picturesque views of the pond, surrounded by forest and view of the Madawaska Highland hills in the distance. The living space features a wood burning fireplace, making it a cozy and inviting space to play games, enjoy a movie or a glass of wine from the bar. Other features include: a dining room that seats up to 10 people, powder room and laundry room. The primary bedroom features a King bed with full ensuite bathroom, a private sunroom, and access to the covered porch. Enjoy a late morning sleep with blinds to keep the rising sun away. The private loft bedroom is situated on the 2nd floor, features a Queen bed, a large skylight and windows overlooking the property. Timber house is luxuriously appointed with attention to detail.

Pine Cabin - sleeps 2 only available from May to October
The cozy bunkie with covered terrace is perfectly designed for nature lovers and with a minimalist in mind. The cabin includes a sitting porch that overlooks the beautifully landscaped pond and has an amazing view of the surrounding birch trees. Upon entering the suite, a comfortable Queen sized bed, a wood burning stove, and a 2 piece bathroom greets you. The cabin is efficiently designed to include all the amenities, storage, and luxuries that all of the cottages offer, including air conditioning/heating unit and an outdoor sink for cleaning fish for those of you who enjoy taking advantage of the excellent fishing available in the surrounding lakes.

The Grounds
Situated on 4 acres Stillwoods Cottage has the perfect blend of water, forest, gardens, sunshine, and endless stars at night. The half-acre aerated pond complete with a waterfall is perfect for cooling off, lounging on a floaty, paddling or discovering nature. Available for your enjoyment is a barbecue and outside eating area for 12 under a pergola. Soak up the sun and the stars lounging in the Muskoka chairs surrounding the fire pit, enjoy the beautiful rock and flower garden, take a nice long hike along the trails in the forest, bird watch or just sit back and enjoy the beautiful scenic views. The property includes several outdoor games for both children and adults, alike. An outdoor play ground, featuring wood stump step activity, including sitting bench and overhead lights. In the evenings, enjoy the spacious firepit with 8 Muskoka chairs overlooking the pond that is decorated in twinkling lights. Endless options await you, whether you want a quiet, leisurely stay or you prefer to participate in a wide range of outdoor games and activities on water or land.
