Cottage Im Obergeschoss: am See, Yoga, Massage

We're just a bit confused by this review, so I'm happy to clarify the comments posted. 1. There is a QUEEN bed, exactly as advertised in our listing. Not sure how this guest thought it was a full size bed. 2. It sleeps 4, exactly as advertised in our listing, if you utilize the queen size lux-inflatable mattress. This is specified in the listing clearly. Bedding for this is provided in the room as well. 3. Yes, we are in the country, on the lake, so once in a while you may see a gar skeleton, or other mementos in nature. We find being in the country a peaceful respite, and the wilderness of it very refreshing. If you need guard rails to walk to the lakeshore, and don't like uneven, wide-open spaces, a hotel in the city might be a more suitable option. Lake levels fluctuate, wish we could control variables like that. 4. You can swim here. I swam this morning. The lake level is low currently, so you do have to walk into the water instead of jumping from the dock. 5. I went though my texts and didn't see one text from this guest asking to change rooms, or addressing any concerns whatsoever. I would have happily upgraded them to another room, or given them a credit for a future date, or whatever was fair, but when hosts are not informed that guests are unhappy, that's a missed opportunity for the guest, and in this case a 1-star review for the host.

Interesting.....This guest already had the arrival info as it is in the welcome pack in VRBO. I spoke to her on the phone as she was just starting to drive from Houston to Austin around 7PM. On the phone, I told her the door was unlocked for her, and told her where to park, and texted her the address. The guest never even showed up to the property. Not texting redundant information that was (1) already posted on VRBO's welcome info, (2) was verbally given over the phone 3 hours prior, was not the problem. This guest didn't show up, and I imagine with her late start decided to stay elsewhere or else she would've arrived at 11PM. Prior to the knowledge that she didn't even show up, I mentioned a refund. But when people change their mind and don't show, and have all the info need for arrival, a full refund is unwarranted. We are always happy to work with our guests, but not showing up because you've found another place prevents us from booking it with someone else, because the calendar was blocked off from others to be able to book.
