No way this is happening!

We got there and the owner's mother was still there trying to clean but she didn't do a good job. That place was filthy! I spent hours mopping the floor and I still missed a lot. Stained furniture, area carpet so dirty I roll them up and put them away. Pride I stay someone must have had an animal because it was dog hair-tumbleweeds. I swept those too! There were no small items like a toaster, oven mitts, a set of pots (2 is not a set). In the back of the property there was a canoe that was filled with old stagnet water, grass that was knee high and old furniture. And we were not able to control our own temperature because there's only one unit ..this is not mentioned. When I tried to change the temperature I was unable to before I realized that the control was probably upstairs! What a dump..not like the pictures.

Close to the beach

Great location, quiet neighborhood and it’s located a short drive to the beach. Bike or walk into Fenwick or drive into OC.

Great location!!

This property had a very nice location and neighborhood but no curb appeal. No landscaping, paint cans, rusty bikes and rusty trailer laying around the yard. I feel it was not ready to rent out as things seemed not to be completed. Pictures, mirrors and extra mattresses leaning up against walls. No hangers in closets, lamps on tables where no outlets were to be found and kitchen was not very well stocked with minor utensils. I think with some TLC this could be an awesome home. The property owner responded promptly to any questions we had which was great . All and all we had a nice time as restaurants were so close and in walking distance. We were thankful our dogs were able to join us as sometimes it is very hard to find a pet friendly place so we are thankful for that.

Great kayaking area

The property is in a great location, backing up to a canal for easy launching of kayaks. The owner has provided outdoor chairs and a fire pit for relaxing outside. The screened-in porch is also a great spot to relax. The house is in good shape, well-furnished, with excellent air conditioning.

It works!

This house allow you to throw in your canoe/kayak from the backyard, and is close to the beach (a short drive or bike ride). The property manager was helpful and responsive to problems we had while staying there (e.g. there were ants, he dropped off ant traps). It is clear that this is a new rental, and there are some minor additions that would make it more renter friendly: there are no hangers in any of the closets the kitchen is very basically supplied. There was only one cutting knife, and a limited supply of pots/pans. No blender, no toaster, no ice maker, no ice trays. While there are tvs, they were not connected to any services like hulu, netflix, etc. (if I understood the manager correctly when I asked this was not an option). So, you'll have to enter your own subscriptions, and if you don't have them, the tv will not work for you. A clean, no frills place to stay.
