Das Haus Leifsstadir befindet sich etwas ausserhalb von Akureyri am Osthang des Eyafjordes. Das grosszügige Haus ist komfortabel ausgestattet und bietet bis zu acht Personen Platz.
Das 12'000 m2 grosse Grundstück gewährt genügend Privatsphäre. Für die Sicherheit unserer Gäste sind eine Alarmanlage und Überwachungskameras installiert.

Bei der Auswahl der Materialien und des Mobiliars wurde auf gepflegtes Design und gute Qualität Wert gelegt. Es sind teilweise geschützte und antike Einrichtungsgegenstände im Haus.

Das Haus wurde im Oktober 2014 erworben und wurde bis Juli 2015 renoviert.

Great stay near Akureyri

We were with two Families in this a great and spcious Villa. The location was excellent and vry close by car to the most important locations in Aukeryri. The host was very nice and the check in was very easy.

Spectacular Location and Property

We had a short as we were working around the ring road but this was our longest stop. The location is great, short drive into town and a good base trip explore the nearby geothermal areas and northeast in general. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was great! The view is so relaxing! Great Place!

Amazing home with beautiful view

Home was amazing with beautiful view!!! Close to many attractions. The Forest Lagoon is minutes away and a fabulous place. Clean, comfortable, spacious and modern. Hot tub was nice even watched the Northern Lights while relaxing. Only suggestion is to bring toilet paper, paper towels and storage bags. Would visit again!!!

Wonderful stay in Akureyri

On our three week Iceland road trip in Sept/October. Akureyri was definitely a highlight: 1) Spacious house in a quiet area. 2) Beautiful view of surrounding snow cap mountains 3) One evening we saw the best Northern Lights of our entire trip so far. We went out on the porch noticed some lights and then saw some brilliant ones 30 feet outside front door. 4) Excellent proximity to Kelli Whale watching and downtown.

Gorgeous modern home perfect for group or family

We had a lovely stay in this gorgeous and well-appointed home. Plenty to do nearby including staying in and appreciating the view. If you have kids, check out the Akureyri Swimming Pool particularly in the colder months when the outdoor thermal pools will blow their minds. Caretaker was very responsive and kind.

Overall, we had a good stay at this property. The house is a beautiful contemporary design, with gorgeous views out over the fjord. High ceilings give a feeling of spaciousness, and was physically very comfortable for our family. The service side of things did not match expectations, especially given the price. There was no shampoo, body wash, or detergent provided. After discussion with the property manager, body wash was provided. Only two of three bedrooms were setup for guests, with the expectation apparently being that the children needed to share rooms unless specifically discussed ahead of time. This was also rectified. The hot tub was not clean, and a request to have it cleaned was not followed up on. Wall controls are used to control many functions in the house, and no longer work in all the rooms. We did not appreciate being given a list of checkout tasks given the substantial cleaning fee paid.In summary, we can recommend the house as a comfortable place to stay, but it feels like corners are being cut which was irritating given the price paid.

Incredible house just a hop, skip and jump outside of Akureyri!

We were blown away with how spacious and beautiful the house was, and even more amazed by the stunning view of the mountains. Served as a great central spot for 3 nights to venture around the area and up to Husavik. The hot tub was easy to use and we took advantage of it each night. Perfect kitchen for making at home meals and more comfortable living room than most offer. The host provided so much information on what to do and see. We were sad to leave!

View of a Lifetime

The property creates an experience that immerses you the beauty of Northeast Iceland. Overall a great place but as the saying goes, the devil is in the details. A couple of features, the washer and dryer, the outdoor hot tub did not function reliably during our stay. Otherwise the ambiance of this place was wonderful.

Beautiful Location and Convenient

This large, modern home is in a perfect location to have a beautiful view of the nearby mountains, harbor and town. It's very relaxing and a very quiet area. The views from the home are absolutely stunning. The home is in a very convenient location, and it's just a few minutes to the town, and it's even closer to get to the new public hot spring spa. Highly recommend that. We also did a day trip to the Myvatn area, and that was a wonderful scenic tour of the volcanic region. The home has everything that one needs for cooking and relaxation, and the hot tub was easy to setup and use. Our group enjoyed everything and we would definitely return back for another visit since there are many more things to see. Frank for the Group

Beautiful place, wonderful stay!

We were so pleased with our stay at Nollur Leifsstadir! It is very close to town, and at the same time very private - a great combination. We received a very detailed and informative guide to the property ahead of our stay. It included not just good information about the house but also about activities, restaurants etc. We can verify that Bakaríid vid Bruna is a fantastic bakery, and Strikid is a really good restaurant. (We went for Sunday brunch and it was lovely.) The view from the large living area was so good that we did not even have to go outside to see the northern lights! The kitchen was adequately supplied, bed was very comfortable as was the living room furniture. Bathroom was very nice with an *amazing* shower. It was especially helpful to have access to washer and dryer. And we loved the hot tub which gave us a view of the fjord and the chance to stargaze and listen to ducks and geese. Unlike a Jacuzzi, this tub is so simple: flip a switch inside the house to fill it with perfect clean, clear (no chemicals) very warm (~101°F) water, wait about an hour, then soak to your heart’s content. Afterwards, flip the switch back to drain the water. Perfect! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an exceptional stay in Akureyri.

Great Home Base in Northern Iceland

We stayed at this property for 5 days. Beautiful location with views into the fjord and mountains. Cannot beat the hot tub for an end of day soak after hiking hard. Location: The house is a mile outside the city which is convienent. It's 1 to 1.5 hrs from Havik (whales), Myvatn (geothermal), Gotafoss, Drangey (puffins) and most of the "true" northern attractions. Beds: It says it sleeps 8 but I would say comfortable sleep could be found for 6 adults and 2 kids. If someone is willing to sleep on a hard fold out and or living room couch you could stretch it to 8 adults (be aware if you have back problems, the beds are not great). Bring a pillow if you can as there is only 1 per person. Kitchen: Has most of the basic things you might need. Limited cookware will hamper a chef but basic cold meals can be done. We were a bit disappointed that the knives there were poor quality and dull as we did a fishing trip and brought fish back to clean but had no way to do so with these knives. Washer and Dryer: Washer works great and can handle small/med loads. Also provided detergent which was nice to avoid wasting a bunch. The dryer simply doesnt dry, you need to run 2 or 3 cycles tonget clothes dry. Alternatively you can use the clothes line outside which works fine if not in a rush. Administration: We had some great interactions with the host as well the management/cleaner. Seemed like it was wellmanaged.

Traumhaus mit Traumaussicht

Ein fantastischer Ort mit allen Annehmlichkeiten und einem sehr netten Eigentümer. Man merkt, das hier auf eine gute Ausstattung geachtet wurde - die Betten sind sehr bequem, die Dusche herrlich und der Hot Tub schnell gefüllt. Herzlichen Dank, dass wir dieses Haus genießen durften.

Nicht zum ersten Mal in diesem Traumhaus - und wieder alles perfekt. Für gemütliche Abende mit traumhaftem Ausblick und Blick auf die Nordlichter - einfach unschlagbar.
