After staying at this property, I am surprised by the strong reviews.
To start with the good: check in went smoothly, the property manager was responsive, and the location is fairly close to many points of interest within the greater San Diego area.
However, the condition of the house left much to be desired, and the listing itself is downright misleading. This property is listed as having 1 king bed with 4 queens. What is not properly conveyed is that there are actually 3 queen beds and the fourth is an inflatable mattress. To me, the inflatable mattress should be an added note, NOT listed as part of sleeping arrangements. Besides, with the size of the bedrooms, the only place the inflatable mattress would fit was downstairs in the living room.
Beyond that, this house showed clear signs of having been mistreated. There was water damage on many of the walls, the doors to the bedrooms were cracked or damaged, and the sheets were stained. While there were additional bed sheets we found, these smelled moldy. And when we looked in the washing machine, we found mold in it as well.
Lastly, there was one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, and one roll of paper towels available to us. So, of course, given that there were seven of us, we had to go out and buy more.
That said, the downstairs living room/kitchen areas were spacious and the furniture comfortable. So, it wasn't all bad, but I would not recommend staying at this location to anyone I know visiting the San Diego area.
