We liked it so well, that we want to keep it!”

That is our review of our visit to The Yellow Beach House, and we did keep it!
Susie fell in love with the Rockport area over 20 years ago and introduced Collin to it last year.
Susie had The Black Forest B&B from 1990-2017 which she sold when she married Collin in 2016. They met in 2011 when he found Susie on Zillow as a realtor, when she met a strange man at a vacant house in the woods. They spent 3 months looking for the home that he eventually bought then and that they live in now in Colorado.
Collin is originally from Oklahoma but lived 26 years in San Diego working as a senior software engineer and raising his daughters, before moving to Colorado where he had an 80 acre horse ranch before moving to the Black Forest.

Susie spent her first 30 years near the beach in California and then moved to 20 acres of pines in the Black Forest near Colorado Springs and built a log house where she was then and now, is again thanks to The Yellow Beach House, an innkeeper and realtor. She raised her son and daughter in the B&B, who were born after she started it.
Susie loves the laid back beach feel in Rockport that she grew up with 60+ years ago which is hard to find in most beach towns today. Also as a blue water cruiser 40 years ago, Susie had missed the marine environment and the smell of the sea.

We are proud to now to be a part of the rebuilding of Rockport since Hurricane Harvey. We are watching the progress march from the coastline inland. There are still some distressed properties in our area, but progress is slowly happening to fix them all up.
