The Brewhouse Cottage

Byron Knott is owner & Rinea Blanchard is manager of The Brewhouse Cottage.
Byron is the head brewer for Bayou Teche Brewery. He is the middle sibling of the three Knott brothers, who all share in the creation of this fantastic destination brewery.
Rinea Blanchard owns Superior Contract Cleaning located in the nearby town of Scott La the Boudin Capital of Louisiana. She can usually be found next to Byron as you see here!

Brewhouse is located across the lane from Bayou Teche Brewery & Cajun Saucer and just down the lane is the the bayou "Bayou Teche" which runs from Port Barre to Franklin La. which is approximately 136 mile course.
A great daytime outing is visiting NUNU's arts and collective craft guild in Arnaudville. Browse around speaking to the local artists and enjoying their seeing with the option of purchasing one of your favorite crafts. Often there will be a French speaking round table meeting happening. Take the time to have a chat with George Marks who has brought NUNU's to this little area of the world. Lastly you should expect to just sit back and relax, take in all the local food beverages people and culture that you will experience in our place that we call home.
Bayou Teche Brewery opens up between 11 am and 12 Pm Tuesday-Sunday, closing at 8pm Tuesday-Thursday- 9 Pm Friday and Sat and 6 pm on Sunday. Often on Saturdays you will be able to enjoy a band playing a variety of different music styles from Cajun to Blues. Sunday the Cajun jammers play from 2 to 6. Bayou Teche Brewery prides themselves on servicing up fresh and interesting flavored beers and hard Seltzer waters. Cajun Saucer will sure to impress you with the most interesting flavored pizzas and light snacks. In addition be sure to try one of the many coffee beverages made with "Arts" coffee while you visit. Arts Coffee is roasted in the white building facing Bushville Hwy. This structure was the original brewery and is beside the Brewhouse Cottage. There are times when the roasting you will be able to enjoy the aromas while you sit on the Brewhouse cottage Porch.

The Brewhouse cottage's history is an interesting one. Approx. 100 years ago it was a barge which floated down the Bayou Teche bringing goods to the local people. The 3x18 inch solid walled structure makes it a very quiet and peaceful stay. The newly plastered walls are a perfect compliment to the red open cabinetry. The Original wood floors give the cottage that original feature to let you know the age of this beautiful cottage. We added interesting local paintings and crafts that you will enjoy reading about in our "About the Brewhouse" book.
In the morning enjoy drinking a cup of fresh ground "Arts Coffee" on the porch while listening to birds and watching the land come to life. Take a walk down the lane to the Bayou & take in the sites & sounds of the Bayou Teche.

Arts Coffee is the white building facing Bushville Hwy. This was the original brewery and is where the coffee is roasted. There are times when you may be able to enjoy the aromas of the roasting!
End your day watching your favorite streaming video in the comfort of the glider style rockers while sipping on a glass of brown spirits that we have for you to enjoy if you are so inclined to partake. Finally enjoy the large walk-in shower listening to relaxing music from blue tooth light speaker. Slip off to sleep in the super cozy full-sized bed.
