Die Yellow Canary Villa liegt nur wenige Schritte vom weißen Sandstrand entfernt auf halbem Weg zwischen Montego Bay und Ochio Rios vor der Nordküste.
Die Villa ist mit unserer Gourmet-Köchin / Haushälterin Joan und Johnny, unserem erfahrenen Fahrer, der den Flughafen führt und Ausflüge unternimmt, ausgestattet.

Wir begrüßen Sie in der Yellow Canary Villa am Meer, einem Ort zum Entspannen und Erholen. Täglich werden in der Villa köstliche Speisen aus frischen regionalen Lebensmitteln zubereitet. Fisch, Hummer (der Fang des Tages), der von unseren lokalen Fischern an unsere Tür geliefert werden kann.
Die Villa ist mit Klimaanlage, WLAN und Kabelfernsehen ausgestattet. Hängematten zum Schlafen den ganzen Tag über, Bereiche zum Faulenzen in verschiedenen Teilen des Gartens und von jedem Winkel des Grundstücks aus ist das Rauschen des Meeres zu hören, das Ihnen dabei hilft, sich zu entspannen. Unsere Villa ist ein Ort zum Entspannen, Schlafen, Lesen, Essen und Generieren mit großartigem Essen. Für ein bisschen Spaß wird an einem Samstagabend Live-Musik gespielt und Sie können mitmachen und in Leroys Bar tanzen.
Die Villa hat eine Atmosphäre von Charme und Privatsphäre.

Nice open cottage. I didn’t realize the chef stays in the cottage too - not in the house with you but in a close by room. Chef was amazing to have. Lots of cute dogs and cats! Beach was great but it is iron shore. Great place overall.

The Yellow Canary Villa was in excellent condition. It is roomy, clean, and has all the conveniencies of home. Along with the assumed electricity and hot water, it has TV and Internet. Then there is an incredible hostess, Cassie. Cassie is an incredible cook, as well as friendly and informative. You couldn't ask for a better host. The villa is just steps from the ocean. Visit Julets. Great chicken, fish as well as drinks. It is quit and comfortable for a wonderful break in a warm and beautiful environment.

A beautiful and restful stay

Beautiful property in a quiet location barely a two minute walk to the beach. Our host Cassie, was helpful and friendly, the beach was private, pristine with powdery sand. We felt incredibly lucky to be there and would love to return.

The cottage is absolutely beautiful and gave me a great sense of freedom! Mrs. Cassie, the housekeeper is so nice and respectful of our space and wow is she an amazing cook! We had a delicious chicken meal when we arrived and it was plenty for leftovers which we enjoyed throughout our stay. The place is immaculately clean and the local people are a treat to be around if you get to know them! No complaints.

The beach is about a one minute walk from the house down a short road. Its not "beachfront" as there are 2 houses between you and the beach but its very close. The property is gated and I never once felt unsafe. The place also comes with a chef - Cassie - who is a wonderful cook. How it worked for us is we drove to the supermarket and Cassie asked what we wanted to eat and bought supplies (at our cost of course) for what she would prepare. She would typically cook 2 meals per day.The only reason I give it 4 stars is that the house wasn't super clean. Our room had a pretty big dead cockroach in it and lots of mosquitos were in the house. Its a tropical environment so I expect there to be bugs but it made it hard to enjoy being in the house.Overall had a great time and if you come during the dry season (Dec-Apr) I'm guessing the bug issue won't be a problem.

Steps away from a BEAUTIFUL Quiet beach. Staff was kind and helpful. Would stay againA few things to note and would increase enjoyment would be: 1. If communication was a little better on what you need to bring since place is fairly remote. Like you need to bring cash to pay the cook for groceries, taximan, snacks, etc. 2. Also I think if there was a menu and choices to choose from for chef that would help. Because we had to plan our own menu, but then some items aren't available in Jamaica, and cook was unfamiliar with how to cook. Probably easier if you could just choose meals.3. Finally, just know that there is no a/c in living room and it is a hot place, but there's not much they can do about that.

We offer complimentary & cooking services to our guests and the main one is our cooking services which does not include shopping for groceries for guests. We encourage our guests to bring in their groceries or shop locally for it. This information is sent to all guests. We do not take on that responsibility. On checking this info was sent to guest. The local supermarkets take visa and credit cards. Jamaican taxis or the majority of them are not yet equipped to take cards, the same as many countries. It is still customary to bring local currency in cash when visiting or holidaying in other countries. The living room, dining room and kitchen are all open into one large space at this property and guests are constantly using the patio areas as well - air con would not work in this space.

Relaxing and quiet place.

Excellent location to relax! We spent our days reading our books and lounging at the villa or at the beach. Villa was clean, well kept, and very charming. Miss Cassie is an amazing cook and has a beautiful personality. The whole family loved all her meals which were excellent and first class and we also enjoyed our grocery shopping trip! :) Host communications were great with no issues whatsoever. Would return in a heartbeat.

Just what I needed!

I stayed at The Yellow Canary for a long weekend and it was wonderful. The villa is beautiful and very comfortable. Joan and Sandra prepared delicious meals. Johnny and Curtiss were great, welcoming and helped show us around. The beach is less than a block away. Just perfect!

The property was exactly as described. Cassie met us as we arrived with a delicious welcome dinner. Both Cassie and Tiffany were very helpful throughout the stay. We enjoyed being very close to the beach. The driver from the airport took us to the wrong supermarket. I highly recommend going to Progressive supermarket in Montego Bay. They’re were a few days where there was no hot water but this was rectified. And the mosquitoes were vicious. Overall our stay was pleasant. Cassie is an amazing chef.

The villa is exactly as the picture shows. The surrounding in peaceful, tranquil and the sound of the waves braking at the beach is magical!Cassie and Tiffany are amazing, warm and accommodating! They aim to please, answers when you call and give you space to enjoy the property. The meals are delicious! You will ask for more. A cool place to stay!

A wonderful villa, just steps from the beach. Tamara and Jasmine are excellent hosts and fantastic cooks. They gave us authentic Jamaican dishes every day. Eating locally is expensive, especially if you want fish, but do try Julet’s fried chicken. The beach is long and thin with fine white sands and warm blue sea but be careful on the rocks and reefs. To get the most from the area be prepared to chat and join in with local life and experience the laid-back Jamaican hospitality.

Tranquility

The listing, including the pics, are accurate. My party of 5 adults enjoyed the quiet beautiful beach and clear water that was only a few steps away. Accommodations inside and outside were very comfortable. Cassie was a wonderful cook/housekeeper who did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. I live in London, England from a young age. I have been spending lots of precious time in Jamaica where I was born.
I first visited Duncans Bay in 1999 with my 2 children and we were walking along a lane which has some quaint cottages and directly in front I could see the ocean appearing through branches of almond trees which lined the banks in front of the beach. It was such a beautiful sight.
The cottage is surrounded by a beautiful garden with tropical plants. A mango tree with long limbs spreads across the garden which is ideal shade to relax with a book.
The living room opens out onto a patio area which makes it light and airy. All the bedrooms have louver windows bringing in fresh sea breeze into the rooms.
There is a green lawn area that stretches along the beach with many trees for shades. This area is great for children to play. My children love this green park area along the beach to play on when they were young and they now bring their children to play there.
This area is ideal connection to many attractions and Montego Bay Airport is just 45 minutes drive.

I love the idea of strolling to the beach early mornings with a cup of coffee and take in the views and if energetic go for a swim.
The neighbourhood is a seaside village, flushed with greenery, unspoilt, and most days it can be very quiet except for some weekends it can get busy with visiting guests and local families. The beach is good for sun bathers, swimmers, snorkelling, fishing. Swimming though is restricted to particular areas. The beach stretches a long way so it’s great for those who like walking. The adjoining beach is the fishermen’s beach and there are two restaurants/bars some craft kiosks along that beach.
GETTING AROUND
from the villa a short walk to the Taxi Stop. All taxis from this stop will take you to Duncans Town in less than 5 minutes. Here you can get local taxis which will connect you to most places. Please be careful not to travel alone at nights. If you are a group of 3 or more it is best and much cheaper to charter a taxi to take you where you want to go.
MontegoBay and Ocho Rios are approximately 45 /50 minutes by transport.

A cook is available at the premises to cook breakfast and dinner only, if required, and her services are included in the price. Meals are cooked daily, (but not on Sundays) only on special request and for those arriving on a Sunday)
guests will choose their menu and is responsible for the cost of the grocery. We encourage guests to either bring in groceries or they can shop at the local supermarket.

Shops, supermarkets, fruit and food stalls, convenient store, churches, a restaurant, Pharmacy, and a taxi rank are local and nearby.
