Jill, Thank you for the review, however we would like to provide some clarity. It was discovered prior to your arrival the sliding door on the dishwasher soap dispenser had a small spring that broke causing issue with the soap door closing. As a result I simply stated to just throw the dishwasher pod in the dishwasher which certainly gets the job done just the same. So sorry but items do break and action had already been taken to order parts. Our appliances are very nice, the BOSCH dishwasher does work great. We do provide thorough information to all guests upon booking along with pre arrival information. This house manual along with guidelines for the home clearly defines that we provide enough initial/starter supplies for your arrival which includes, dishwasher soap, laundry soap, garbage bags, paper towel, toilet paper, body wash, shampoo, conditioner. We were unaware of any uncomfortable house temperatures. The house was around 70-73 degrees. I did make one trip to the house during your stay and there was no request for heat. We are sure to tell all booking guests to please contact us directly at any time, if there is anything that they need prior or during their stay. We attempt to make it very clear that all guests must read and understand all the information that was sent to them. I am sorry if some of this information remained unknown, we will take ownership of this and work harder to make sure all guests are indeed receiving and understanding the necessary information.

We also appreciate your detailed notes. Our home is a classic lake property, and like many lake houses, it does have some rustic charm. That said, we’re actively making updates: a brand-new refrigerator was delivered during your stay, and we’re continuing with improvements such as screens, steps, and light fixtures so guests will feel even more comfortable in the future. We also wanted to clarify about the front door—it isn’t broken, but it does require pressing the small button right below the latch in order to open smoothly. We’ll be sure to highlight this in our welcome instructions so future guests won’t have any confusion. As for communication, we always want guests to feel supported during their stay, which is why we check in, but we’ll make sure it feels helpful rather than overwhelming. Our property is best suited for guests who enjoy a lively, family-friendly lake atmosphere with plenty of space to gather, rather than a fully unplugged or secluded retreat. We’re grateful you recognized the potential here, and we truly appreciate your input as we continue to enhance the experience.
