Location Location Location
Truly in the heart of the town of Telluride. Steps away from the main gondola, restaurants, bars, grocery stores, galleries, and more. Mostly 100% clean on arrival, plenty of amenities in the kitchen. TVs with Netflix and other streaming services at night in every bedroom.
If there is a downside and the only reason it wasn't a five star, it is the 40 steps from ground level to the third level master/kitchen/living room. If you enjoy the luxuries of five star hotels, bellman, etc, this is a bit more laborious getting up and moved in. The secondary rooms (including the smaller 2nd master) are on the second level, but you still have to go all the way up for the kitchen. With the thinner air, getting to the top can be a choir if you are older, and/or a bit out of shape. Luckily my son hoisted all the luggage up for us. On the flip side, being on the third level does afford better views...
One last note for the owners: Families with small ones, will want to rent gates from the Vacasa service for the stairs as it could be a bit dangerous without. We had one at the top level for the grandson, but we only had one gate, and the house could use 2-3. Also, the master has a silver dollar sized dark stain on the comforter which made it a bit icky wondering what that was from. And I had to run the vacuum in the master on day one which was luckily in the walk in closet. Likely the cleaning service just missed it.
