As you enter, Resting Beach Place, from the ground level you will notice one of the two outdoor showers as well as a great seating area and grill around the corner. Upon entry the fun begins with a foosball table and a great space to lounge. An additional refrigerator makes this the perfect spot to store drinks and snacks to take to the beach. Make your way to the middle level and have your choice of 4 beach themed bedrooms, each with their own TV and two full bathroom as well as a washer and dryer. Continuing up to the third, most spacious and open are of the home, you will be greeted by a large living area with a comfy couch large enough for the whole family. Behind the couch you will find a family table large enough to seat 10 people. Walk through the kitchen and you will land in a screened porch ready for relaxation. The upper decks have views of the ocean so don't miss this Resting Beach Place!

Wonderful stay

Our family enjoyed our stay! It was an easy walk to both the beach and Avalon Pier, and a very short drive to Wright Brothers Memorial. The owner was very responsive as well, great stay overall.

Great location. Roomy enough for everyone to spread out. The house just needs some updates. I had to go buy a frying pan as the ones here were really bad off. I understand most renters don’t take care of your property and that stinks.

Beautiful home, short walk to the beach/pier. Bring your own liquid cleaning supplies tho, as there wasn’t much so we bought some. Spent last full day basically washing all of the bedding. Highly Recommend just bringing your own blankets to use as it will save ya a lot of time. ESP being that check out is @10am. 9/10 recommend the stay tho. Great area to get around easily to go do things. Owners are very responsive if an issue arises. Would love to stay again.

Amazing stay!

I have been going to the Outer Banks since I was 2 years old. This has been by far my favorite place to stay! Lori was always available to communicate and she checked in multiple times to make sure all was well. I would 10 out of 10 recommend this house for your next vacation! We will definitely be back! Wonderful stay

This home is very inviting, clean and comfortable. It has everything we needed for our week stay at the beach. There’s plenty of storage for all your items in the bedrooms, pantry, and ground level outdoor closet for beach items. We also enjoyed the outdoor showers when we came back from the beach. It is just a short walk to the beach that was easy to get to. The decks are well furnished and was nice to relax on day or night. The hot tub was nice to soak in in the evenings. The area was quiet and had nice neighbors around. We had a great stay and hope to be back soon.

Beach Living

The place was amazingly decorated with tons of space. Beautiful sunshine on the upper deck to have morning coffees on. The hot tub and swing on the 2nd deck were big hits also. Outdoor shower was convenient for the kiddos. The walk to the beach is a few minutes, but all paved and easy. A wagon to haul things to the beach would be handy. Right there you will find Awful Authors for take out and the pier near by for snacks, drinks and arcade. Wonderful stay!

Family Time

We were so excited to see how spacious and nice this cottage was. The weather was rough the first two days we were there but the house was so cozy we didn’t mind. It’s close to a lot of stores and restaurants which was nice. The walk to the beach was relaxing and you are right at the Avalon pier. The hot tub was nice for the kids to hang out in and the backyard is spacious for the kids to play. There was a fire pit but we never got to use it do to the funky weather. Owner was pleasant to talk to. Highly recommend this cottage!!

House needs some maintenance and cleaning

The house was decorated super cute. The area has plenty to do. It is walkable to the beach. All positive things! But the housekeeping does a minimal job. When we arrived, the living room area rug was covered with crumbs and debris, crumbs on the counter and a half drank drink on a stool. Dried gum stuck to a banister, a bedroom garbage with garbage in it. A full dishwasher of (granted clean) dishes for us to put away. Many electrical outlets don’t work. Living room light and fan don’t work. After numerous resets, the WiFi could never work for more than a couple minutes. It feels like the house was once really loved but has not been properly maintained for quite some time.

Mixed Emotions

The property itself was nice but we had several issues. Many of our issues may have been attributed to the cleaning service used by the host. There was nowhere near enough towels or wash clothes for the group and little in the way of kitchen towels or hand towels for the baths. When everyone started to bed, around 10pm there were no sheets on any of the beds. We found a few ill-fitting sheets in the bottom of a closet, but most slept on the mattress pads the first night. I did contact the owner several times about the issues, and she was responsive and tried to have towels delivered Friday night (our first night) but Wal-Mart nor Amazon could deliver in a timely manner. On Saturday she was willing to try to arrange to provide sheets also. Luckily, I had a cousin that resided in Kitty Hawk that was able to help supply us with the linens needed. I did request a partial refund for our troubles which seems to have been denied. I understand the host relies on the cleaning company to do their job but the company not doing their job was not our fault and the property was not totally as represented. We were only there for 2 nights.

The weather was rough, but we were able to fish at Avalon and Nags Head piers - we walked the beach and fished at the Little Bridge. The house was perfect for our family, with plenty of room on the top floor for us to cook, eat and watch football! Great visit to the OBX.

The beach house was so nice and very comfortable.

We had a wonderful week. My grandchildren loved this place. The hot tub was a big hit for the whole family. It’s very spacious , with a tv on every room. I feel that any family would enjoy it.

Loved it!

The house is great! It is big and comfortable and the location is convenient. 5 minute walk to the beach. The pier nearby was a fun place to get a beer and a snack. Lots of fun shops and restaurants nearby as well. Loren gave us great recommendations and was easy to work with! I would totally recommend this place!

Great house, great location

Had a wonderful trip, the owner made it so easy. Awesome location, short walk to Awful Arthur’s, the Avalon Pier and the beach. Great layout, 2 refrigerators are great to have. The hot tub was a bonus we weren’t even expecting. Highly recommend for families or for get aways with friends!

Life’s a beach, dig it

We had a great time in OBX. The pics do not do the house justice. The bottom floor has a bed, fridge, and food all table. The second floor has 4 beds and 2 baths. The top floor is open with the kitchen. Overall the place was very welcoming and close to the Avalon pier. We will definitely be back.

Suggestions

Needed kitchen hand towels. Also linens were provided however not enough bath towels. Had 7 people but only 4 towels. Otherwise enjoyed our stay.

OBX Vacation 2021

While the property did have some maintenance needed (i.e., doors, dryer), the stay overall was very pleasant. It was a perfect size for us, and the kids loved it! We were slightly disappointed that the property was not cleaner upon arrival (please get that old unused shower in the back cleaned out...it is nasty!), but it was good enough for us! Great Home

Lovely lovely home. Nice place to stay in OBX. Close to many places, like restaurants, grocery stores and sights. Only 5-8 min walk to the beach, however with kiddos, doubled, but it was just right. Property owner very responsive via text and email. The yard was big and the outdoor shower super nice. Really appreciated being there and everything well maintained. Definitely would recommend it to others. Thank you for a wonderful time.
