Das wirklich besondere und kürzlich restaurierte historische Thomas Blades House befindet sich in zentraler Lage im historischen Viertel von St. Michaels, nur wenige Schritte vom Stadtpark entfernt, mit herrlichem Wasserblick. Es ist ein 2 Schlafzimmer, 1. 5 Badezimmerferienhäuschen. Die Preise variieren je nach Saison und ob der Aufenthalt unter der Woche oder am Wochenende ist. Aufenthalte von einer Woche oder länger werden ebenso wie "Last-Minute" -Buchungen ermäßigt.

Museen, Geschäfte (einschließlich Lebensmittelgeschäfte und Drogerie), Restaurants, Kirchen, Parks, Tennisplätze, Stadtpool. Bibliothek, Wochenmarkt und andere Sehenswürdigkeiten sind vom Haus aus zu Fuß erreichbar!

Das Haus ist sehr komfortabel und wunderschön mit Stil- und Reproduktionsmöbeln eingerichtet. Perfekt geeignet für eine kleine Familie oder ein oder zwei Paare. Das Haus ist auch ein idealer romantischer Kurzurlaub für ein Paar. Das große Familienzimmer und die große Veranda schaffen eine ideale Umgebung zum Entspannen!

Das Haus wurde um 1850 von Thomas Blades, einem jungen Seemann, gebaut.

Im ersten Stock des ursprünglichen Teils des Blades House befinden sich ein WOHN- und ein ESSZIMMER. Auf der Rückseite des ursprünglichen Hauses im ersten Stock befindet sich ein Küchenbereich, der mit einem großen holzgetäfelten FAMILIENZIMMER verbunden ist. Es gibt eine halbe Badewanne aus dem Familienzimmer. Die Rückseite des Familienzimmers öffnet sich durch französische Türen zu einer großen Außenterrasse mit Deckenventilator und Essbereich. Es gibt ein Deck auf der Rückseite der Veranda zum Grillen im Freien.

Die zweite Etage des ursprünglichen Teils des Blades-Hauses umfasst ein großes SCHLAFZIMMER mit einem Queensize-Bett und einem antiken Kinderbett (Kinderbettgröße). Im zweiten Stock auf der Rückseite des Hauses befindet sich das große MASTER-SCHLAFZIMMER mit einem Kingsize-Bett. Aus einem Flur zwischen den beiden Schlafzimmern ist das Master-Bad.

Ein zusätzliches Cottage und ein großes Haus am Wasser können ebenfalls gemietet werden.

We absolutely loved our stay at Thomas’s beautiful historic home in St. Michaels! The house itself is stunning—full of character, yet updated with all the modern comforts we needed. It was spacious, clean, and had everything we could ask for to make our trip enjoyable.The location couldn’t have been better, Just a block away from charming shops, fantastic restaurants, and cozy cafes. Our favorite spot was the gorgeous waterfront park, just steps away, where we loved sitting by the water, taking in the view, and watching the boats come in. It was the perfect way to relax!Thomas was a wonderful host who was responsive, helpful, and made sure we had a seamless experience. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this property to anyone visiting St. Michaels. Thank you for a fantastic getaway!

Good things come in small packages

The seemingly small cottage was deceptively large and well appointed on the inside. We also have a historic home so we loved the mix of original and contemporary additions. The screened in porch was especially delightful on a warm summer night. The location couldn’t be beat. Very pleased with all aspects!

Didn’t use our car for 3 days!

My husband and two dogs and I really enjoyed staying at this property. Half the house seemed original and half an addition, and we appreciated staying in a part of history. We walked everywhere in town.

Perfect Choice

The T. Blades house was the perfect choice for a two day quick getaway for my husband and I. The house is not only filled with period charm and character, but has been lovingly and perfectly restored to make it a very comfortable stay. Immaculately clean and furnished. The location is a 5 star, as well. One block to the main street with shops and restaurants, and two blocks in the other direction to the water. Can't wait to go back. Kathleen and John

Charming & Cozy!

We loved our weekend at T. Blades House. We parked the car and walked everywhere - to breakfast, the parks, marina, all the shops on Talbot Street, and met so many nice neighbors (and their canine companions) strolling the quaint little streets! The house was cozy as can be, with all the charm of a historic home plus modern conveniences. Gorgeous original heart pine floors, beams, and period hardware & furnishings — with nice comfortable beds to end your day! We would love to return next year!

Overall we enjoyed the cottage because the location was incredible and the air conditioning was great on a hot weekend. Beds were comfortable and the screened in porch was enjoyable. The antique furnishings and decor was cozy! We had a two year old sleep in the children’s cot in the second bedroom and used towels to cover the windows. Primary bedroom was very nice! Unfortunately we were visiting during a storm and the ants were EVERYWHERE. We couldn’t leave anything or dishes on the counter because the ants would swarm. We had to throw away a bunch of our new groceries. There was also a bunch of nails on the back patio (probably from the housework Nextdoor). Overall, we really did like the property! Just some cleanliness issues. We would return for sure due to the location!

Cozy and Good Location

The house looked better than the pictures. It was very cozy and had everything we needed. It’s probably the best location for walking around town. Water pressure in the shower was decent, and the beds were comfortable.

Great location home needs attention

The location and proximity of the home was exactly what we had hoped for. The home felt like a handyman special and work was needed in every room. Rotten walls from water damaged, Windows’s closed and secured with zip ties, closets that we could not hang clothes because of other items thrown around. Seating in most rooms were not ideal and seemed more like an antique store than a place to relax. I will say the Owner communicates well and provides the basics. The stay was great but will not stay here again due to updates and cleanliness.

Location is amazing!!!!

The location was unprecedented! Really short walk to everything. Car did not move once we arrived and member of our group uses a walker. Property was clean and accomidating. Very pleased overall. Will return again!!!

Great weekend in St Michaels

Property is an historic small house billed as "you can walk to anywhere in St Michaels", and you can--easily. It's located in a very quiet area a couple of blocks from the harbor. It's near the corner of Locust and Carpenter (two very quiet side streets) that is labeled "Hell's Crossing" on the locally provided street map. There is an interesting story about that dating from the 1800's. The house is very nicely maintained and furnished in colonial period style. It's ideal for a couple, or a couple with two children. It might be too small for multiple families. The only suggested improvement I would make is to provide a non-skid bath mat for the tub. It has a non-slip surface, but it's still a little slippery--especially for us older folks

Lovely Little Historic Get-A-Way

We enjoyed our a long weekend in this historic cottage.it is located on a street that we have frequently walked over the past 15 years - we’ve always been curious about this row of homes. We loved all of the antiques and decor. We enjoyed sitting on the shaded screened in porch during the hot days, along with our Boston Terrier and another set of friends. The location is perfect, 1 block from the Main Street and about 1/2 block from the harbor and park.. We received the perfect amount of communication from the owner. We would book with them again.
