Charming 2 bedroom 1 bath Beach Cottage located in Avon 4 blocks to the beach

This is a two- bedroom, one-bath cottage which comfortably sleeps six guests. It has scenic views of beautiful Sylvan Lake from the front porch, simply perfect for morning coffee or an early evening cocktail. The cottage is fully renovated from the inside out and virtually brand new! It was gutted to the studs and has brand new everything to include electrical, insulation, drywall, hardwood floors etc... The master bedroom with queen size bed is outfitted with luxury sheets and bedding. The second bedroom is furnished with a bunk bed with a trundle to sleep 3, and the living room couch opens up to a sleeper. A modern, all-white kitchen with custom inset, all-wood, cabinets and quartz countertops boasts top of the line Kitchen Aid stainless steel appliances. The back splash is stunning mother of pearl mini tiles !! We have installed a reverse osmosis water purification system that also hooks up to the ice make in the freezer and cold water dispenser in the fridge. No need to bring or buy purified water. We have installed new solid hickory prefinished hard wood floors. The bathroom is brand new and has glass tile and a steam shower. There is a brand new adorable and functional wood stove for those guests who like to spend time enjoying the quiet winter wonderland Avon beach can be. Outdoors you will enjoy meals on the patio that is enclosed by a cedar fence for your privacy. The main living space and both bedrooms now have vaultedq, ship lapped/bead board ceilings with stunning new high end lighting fixtures to create beautiful sanctuary-style rooms. We include many amenities to use in the home as well as on the beach to help make your vacation as stress-free and enjoyable as possible (see list of amenities below). A few of those are luxury bedding, all towels for bath and beach, beach chairs and a cooler just to start!! This cottage is conveniently located within walking distance to the family-friendly beach and also to town. Avon boasts great restaurants as well as the famous "Macaroon Shop" bakery right on Main Street. There you will also find ample shopping, yoga, hair and nail salons, as well as a deli to make your sandwiches to bring to the beach. Snorkeling, deep sea fishing and parasailing are all within a 1-3 mile radius. Be our guests to enjoy this special cottage, designed with families and comfort in mind!

Birthday stay

The home was quiet and cozy, clean and close to the beach! The beds were very comfortable and our ability to get settled in quickly was wonderful since our weather was optimal for the beach most of the week. The location meant we parked the car on Saturday and didn't drive more than 10 miles for the duration of our stay. The interior of the home was immaculately clean, but the exterior (outdoor shower, patio furniture, front porch furniture) was not as pristine. Easy on-street parking, GREAT neighborhood and we hope to return again and again and again!

Ideal stay in a pristine cottage!

We spent most of our summer 2017 staying in this beautiful cottage. We are a family of three, so it was a perfect size for us. There was nothing missing. Jen and Bob thought of everything. There is outdoor seating in the small but private back yard with an outdoor shower. The yard is completely fenced in, so it was perfect for our dog. While the space is small, it doesn't feel it because of the raised ceiling and bright interior. It is a very happy home decorated simply, but beautifully. They were wonderful hosts making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Loved the location in one of my favorite towns, 15 min walk to the beach, 5 min walk into the little town and lots of great bike riding to nearby parks and towns. We felt very much at home here and honestly did not want to leave! Thank you!!

Beautifully Renovated Cottage

This cottage was completely renovated and everything -- from the floors to the appliances to the light fixtures -- is new. While this cottage -- with two bedroom and one bath -- is on the small side compared to many beach houses, it is very well-designed,has everything you need and is perfect for a family of four. The beds are extremely comfortable, the kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils and dishware. The bathroom, with a marble sink top and blue glass tiles, is beautiful. The bath/shower is glass-enclosed with a steam mist feature. The washer/dryer works very well. We were there during an early spring cold snap and the HVAC system is very efficient and the house is extremely well-insulated. The house is four blocks from the ocean and two block from Main Street, with many restaurants and other stores. The owners are very responsive and friendly.

Absolute Perfection!!

Having rented a beach house almost every year since my teens, this cottage easily surpasses them all. With all the necessities & comforts one could want, along with impeccable design choices, we did not want to leave & quickly booked another stay for 2017. Avon By The Sea is a hidden gem offering delicious restaurants, a beautiful beach and quaint family neighborhood. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for the perfect NJ beach retreat. Thank you, again, to our amazing hosts!

Exquisite all-new interior cottage

We love this cottage, completely re-done from open roof line to gorgeous floors. Just one house away from Sylvan Lake and a few blocks to the beach. Every design choice Jen made is exquisite. The cottage is both beautiful and comfortable. Everything you need is provided. It is hard to find an affordable place at the shore for just two people. This is the best!
