Private Bedroom and Bathroom

This room inside my home is a perfect quick stopover place for traveling along hwy 1. I had such a good experience renting out a studio on the property with Airbnb that I added this room as well. It’s approx 12 x 12 with a super comfy queen bed and chair that pulls out into a single bed (kid-sized), dresser and smart tv.

You’ll have your own entrance with a keypad so you can come and go as you please without disrupting anything.

I recently added a “coffee nook” in the hallway with a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, etc.

The room is a work in progress. Carpet is not great, but I have pretty rugs and recently painted an accent wall. :) Perfect tiny yard for dogs.
No frills but cheap place to crash for the night.

The closet has a few of my own belongings, but there is a small dresser if you need it.

The path to the door is a little rocky, but I have done some work to make it more accessible.
The bathroom is shared with the room across the hall, which I also rent out on airbnb, so there may also be other guests in this shared space.
The laundry room is on the other side of the room, so you may hear noise from either.

This was our home that we just moved out/currently moving out of but it was too big for our little family so I am portioning it off and renting out one room at a time.

The location is great as we are located on the coveted numbered streets. We are one block from the beach, with very easy beach access just down at the end of the street. Our place is exactly one mile from the pier-very walkable or bikeable.

I do my best to make your stay as enjoyable as possible and welcome suggestions for a better stay!

All toiletries are provided.

Well behaved dogs MAY be considered with a $50 pet fee, due upon arrival. There is a tiny fenced in yard. Please send me a message to inquire about pets.

No smoking (of anything) in or ANYWHERE around the property.

I lead a guided hike up a nearby hill.
I do bike tours.
And I rent bicycles to get to town.
I also have a vehicle on Turo!

Sorely Disappointed

Arrived after check in hour without instructions to get in and was told “the day got away from me” by the host, really?Then the next door neighbor was angry with us parking on a public street and asked us to move, we weren’t told where we could park yet. The room is substandard with a sheet with a picture on it thumb tacked above the bed which fell down on our face when we tried to read and a chair that has you sitting on the floor, really bad. The TV is so small you can’t see it from the bed and should be up a bit maybe on the wall? Walking to the door is a hazard in itself, all easy fixes but seems no one cares. So so disappointed.

Location, location , location

Small little bungalow in an upscale neighborhood. Nice induction cooktop , small fridge . Large tv with streaming apps like Hulu and Netflix. The beds were some of best I’ve slept in on a trip. Then there’s the beach that is literally across one neighborhood street. Restaurants/ shops less then a mile down the road. Would stay again when In Morro Bay

Cayucas heaven

Laura was an amazing host. Very responsive, super friendly. She has great neighbors next door. Loved the location. Only a few blocks from the beautiful cayucas beach and half a block to jump on fwy. I would totally stay here again. Laura was also sweet enough to take me on a beautiful hike up the hill over looking the coast line. Can't wait to go back. Cayucas has always been one of my favorite places to visit but could never find a place to stay. Was so lucky to find her place over memorial day weekend. I'm dreaming of going back soon. Honestly, it’s not that fancy, but compared to Cayucos prices, we are a budget friendly rental. You might find something cheaper in other towns, but I doubt you could find anything cheaper in Cayucos. I have to charge the price I charge to justify sharing the space but I enjoy giving someone the opportunity to stay in Cayucos without charging an arm and a leg.

I have provided a single cup coffee maker, hot water carafe, filtered water, a little ice chest, Amazon fire stick, phone charger, and other little things you might need.
