For your next getaway, enjoy our beautiful Deer Bed Den with TWO private decks! Recently renovated, this 2 bed/2 bath cabin sits on a 12 acre property that is nestled among the trees. Spend your mornings sipping your morning coffee while enjoying some company from the singing birds, spend your days wandering throughout the nearby trails and spend your evenings sitting next to the original fireplace. A true modern mountain getaway! We invite you to stay and love our cozy cabin!

This entirely newly renovated cabin has two bedrooms with queen sized beds and a sofa bed in the living room. There are two newly renovated bathrooms, one with a gorgeous bath tub and another full bathroom with a shower.

There's no TV in the cabin - find entertainment with the many trails nearby and enjoy the show given by Idyllwild’s native birds!

CHECK IN: 4:00pm & CHECK OUT: 10:00am.
Please communicate via Air Bnb your ETA.

Check in: I will send you a check-in guide the morning of when your stay begins - this will be sent through the AirBnb app in our message thread. All information, parking, lockbox, etc., will be included.

Check Out- Please try to leave the cabin the way you first found it. Check out instructions can be found in the house manual left inside of the cabin.

Firewood is not provided. Please stop by the local stores for firewood before your stay. We recommend buying a start kit as well!

There is a specific area to park, please let us know if you are planning on bringing more than one car and we will try to accommodate you.

Please check the weather conditions prior to your departure. Snow chains are needed with icy conditions!

Winter escape

Great location and very nice cabin. Felt secluded but close to downtown shops too! Fireplace was wonderful.

Peaceful

First of all, Emma was great in providing directions to get to the property & providing all the check-in info. She was prompt in replying to messages too. The bed was extremely comfortable, the space heaters were great & the water stayed hot for showers. It was so peaceful & relaxing. There was limited internet which we loved because we didn’t want to get bombarded by notifications & emails.

Relaxing weekend

Blue Door cottage was a perfectly serene setting for a relaxing weekend. We absolutely loved it here and can’t wait to book another stay.

Beautiful place and area. Could use improvements

The area was gorgeous and the cabin was charming and comfy. There were a few issues tho. The piping is old I assume becuase you can only have water running at one place at a time. Can't wash your hands in the bathroom is someone is washing dishes in the kitchen. There's a nice big balcony but there are no lights outside so we could sit out there at night to play board games and enjoy the evening. The biggest selling point of this place for me was the bathtub. But it doesn't function well as a tub. There's only a hot water spicket and barely any water comes out. Had to very slowly fill the tub using the shower head, which was really disappointing for someone like me who LOVES baths.

Cute cabin, perfect location!

We always come to Idyllwild for the Thanksgiving weekend- this cabin this year did not disappoint! We actually love not having TV, or solid internet- a reason to leave the kids tablets at home and enjoy the sounds of nature. The cabin was cute and well appointed and our host Emma was easy to communicate with all along. Highly recommend!
