3 stars see notes

This was a nice place with a good location. Two things to know- the windows didn’t have full length curtains, just the plastic slats so the front bedroom had no privacy from people walking by. We put a bed sheet over it for privacy because we didn’t feel safe having our kids in there. Both bedrooms are missing individual blinds so no blockage from the sun. The air conditioning only had one AC vent in the bedroom and the temperature was set to 70. My husband and I were so hot. Location was good, just a quick drive to Dollywood.

Meh.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Positives: Spacious room, lots of towels, free soap, dishes to utilize, large deck.Negatives: Over-priced, dated rooms, broken blinds, no shampoo/conditioner, have to wash your own dishes, take out your own trash, unspectacular views, and we didn’t receive the free ticket to Dollywood as advertised.

Thank you for staying with us at Whispering Pines Resort! We greatly appreciate your feedback and would like to apologize for any concerns you encountered during your stay. As with most vacation rentals, we do ask that guests wash their dishes and remove their trash from the home before departure. We provide a starter supply of many items however shampoo and conditioner are not provided. We have a complete list of what we provide in our confirmation so that guests are prepared. In regards to the Dollywood ticket, our office as well as the ticket program tried to reach you by phone multiple times before your stay. Unfortunately, we were unable to reach you or we would have been happy to set this up for you. Again, we greatly appreciate your feedback and hope to see you again soon.

Return to paradise

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love to come stay at Whispering Pines. It's clean, comfortable, polite staff, and 2nd home to us. Our only complaint is those blinds....most are broke and don't close right for privacy . I think it's time to change the blinds in all the units or put curtains up for privacy. Again we love the place and have been coming for 6 yrs and recommend Whispering Pines to everyone.
Antwort von VrboOwner am 16. Sept. 2023

We truly appreciate your kind comments regarding our staff and the property, they mean so much to us. We do want to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with the blinds. We will pass these comments along to the owners and we appreciate you for bringing it to our attention. It sounds like other than that, you were able to have a great time which we always enjoy getting to hear. We welcome you to stay with us again the next time you're visiting beautiful Pigeon Forge!

Week-End Review

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: One thing that would have been very helpful to me would have been a handicap commode. I've had a hip replacement and it's very difficult for me to use a standard height commode. Everything else was wonderful! This is our second time to stay at this facility and we will definitely return.
Antwort von VrboOwner am 16. Sept. 2023
Thank you for spending a weekend with us this Fall and thanks for returning for a second visit. We really appreciate you coming back! I wanted to mention to you that we do have three semi-handicap two bedrooms condos here at Whispering Pines. Perhaps, one of these would work for you in regards to your comments about the toilet. I do know that one of them has a highboy toilet and that is condo 352. Again, thanks for staying with us and we look forward to having you return for a third visit.

Disappointed

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was very disappointed! When we arrived about 10:30pm. I was told we would be in 413(bottom level)but we were in room 423 (2nd floor)! Then, the TV didn't work in my son's room!
Antwort von VrboOwner am 16. Sept. 2023
Thank you for staying with us! We appreciate you! Your reservation was correctly made and we did have you reserved for Unit 413 but unfortunately the Key for unit 423 was left for you in our late arrivals box by mistake. We offered to move you back to unit 413 when the error was discovered but you declined. So sorry for the mix up but we do make mistakes occasionally :-) The TV's can be complex to operate and we have maintenance on site to assist with any issues. Please let us know any time you have any issues at all and we will be happy to make them right! We hope you will understand and will come and stay with us again soon!
