This was a disaster from the beginning. We paid for a premium room on the beach and were told on phone 2 weeks before time to go were being switched to a comparable room which was completely misleading!! We were in no way put in a room that even remotely compared to what we paid for and was on the end of the beach that had contamination signs up so had to pay per day to go to beach since we were moved to room that did not have any pools. We tried several times to reach someone only to be told we would be moved to a room on day on the River part. We rented and paid for a room on the ocean and we were not staying on the river. This is the 3rd time using VRBO at Tybee Island but will definitely be our last!! No communication at all and very disappointing as the room the we were placed in had no working elevators and we were put on 3rd floor, room had ceiling falling down with holes in places and porch had huge nails sticking out of the wood. Complete disappoint and will never use VRBO again. This is the 2nd time we have been moved to a different room after making our reservations with this booking agent. We should be compensated back for being mislead and given bad accomodations but of course no one will reach out to my phone calls or numerous emails. We love Tybee Island but have been gravely disappointed with using these online companies to secure reservations only to have them changed to something way less than what we pay for!! No more!!
