A laid back, rustic and relaxing accommodation that offers a peaceful and stress-free environment, where guests can unwind and recharge. Ideal for travellers who want to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and enjoy some downtime, or for those that come back to relax after a busy day of activities or from a good day in the waves.
Located within the renown 'Blue Zone' every room is equipped with AC, a mini fridge, a private bathroom, and an outdoor sitting area in front of each room. Our family rooms sleep up to 4 guests consisting of one double bed and bunk beds (which are also suitable for adults). The property also boasts a swimming pool, tranquil garden areas, a large Rancho with two shared kitchens, and secure on-site parking with wifi access throughout.
Close to the surf:
Nakanku Lodge provides a convenient and comfortable base for surfers to enjoy and we are central to many popular surf spots. The surf in Marbella is just 3 km away, whilst other breaks in Ostional, Nosara, Junquillal, Negra and Avellanas are all within a 30 min drive.
Nakanku Lodge has a laid-back and social atmosphere, with communal spaces where guests can connect and share stories about their surfing experiences.

My name is Gary and I live next to the hotel in private accommodation. You will usually find me around during the day (after a morning surf) attending to the pool and gardens and am always happy to help with any questions you may have, am also usually around to greet you on arrival along with Wally and Willow (my two dogs).
I am very well travelled and after many years living out of a backpack have finally settled and now call Costa Rica my home.
I enjoy meeting new people and take pride in offering my guests a relaxing stay here at Nakanku Lodge.
Wally & Willow enjoy cuddles and are very sociable and friendly. You will usually be greeted by wagging tails or even accompanied on a walk to the beach.
