Great shelling, large numbers of pelicans and other birds always present, best fishing area in region, close to Galveston but far enough away from population center to feel like a retreat. Practically a private beach in the off season. Water is clearer and bluer than that in the City of Galveston due to offshore blue Gulf waters coming into San Luis Pass with the tides. Although sand beaches come and go in front of the house, there is always sand beach along the pass toward the bridge and, in the other direction, there is extensive beach that extends all the way to Surfside. Beaches in front will accrete in the summer and slowly erode in winter. Horseback riding available 15 min. away.

*We have two security cameras mounted underneath the beach house. One facing the street and one facing the ocean. They are used solely for identifying suspicious activity outside of guest reservations. Only the areas underneath the house are viewable from the cameras.
