Has a kitchenette with microwave, electric skillet, dual coffee pot, toaster and 3.1 cu ft fridge.
Cabin #4 of tastefully decorated family cabins available with a 'fun' loft to sleep up to 8 guests. On the front porch is a rocking chair and pew for sitting out on starry nights. The Cedar River is a short pleasant walk from the cabin. A rural area with many wildlife, but close to many attractions, including but not limited to the Mississippi town of Muscatine, Iowa. Many activities at the camp, with acres of timber and trails that run along the Cedar River. Plus horseshoes, basketball, sand volleyball, regular volleyball, tether ball, playground, concession stand, outdoor movies, during season as well as themed events.
Cabins are heated and air conditioned for comfort. All cabins have fire pits, grills and picnic tables.

During summer months, enjoy access to our NEW pool and bath house!

Great for the family

We have a large family with young kids, which means if we ever travel we need to get 2 hotel rooms, making the experience more complicated. This property really met our needs: everybody had enough space to sleep, the kitchen worked well for getting everyone fed, and the kids loved running around on the grounds and the playground. Thanks!

Great Stay

We enjoyed a lovely weekend at one of Jim's cabin. The cabin was very clean and well stocked. The check-in process was easy and effortless. The hosts were very accommodating and quick to respond to a 'slight issue'. They showed a movie for the kids Saturday night and even drove them home in their golf cart - all 4 of them! What a nice surprise, such great customer service. The photos do not show the beauty of the surrounding area and the nearby river. All in all a very relaxing, much-needed mini vacation!

Who wouldn't mind being woken up at 7am to the sounds of a construction crew?

the event center is in the process of development, with construction workers and miscellaneous characters running about. The cabins are almost brand new (business est 2021) and they are continuing to build more cabins. The cabins all sleep 4+ people, but the interiors would be cramped for more than 2 because of the smaller appliances and plumbing installed. They utilize window AC/heater units that are really loud and located right next to the main bed...woke me up every time it kicked in! Between construction noise and nearness to all the other cabins it was difficult to relax and enjoy.

Fin de semana familiar

Fue una experiencia magnífica, la cabaña tiene más de lo que ofrece, muy limpia, cómoda y más grande de lo que pensaba, anfitriones muy amables. Disfrutamos de bellos paisajes, caminatas por el bosque y kayaking . Por 2 noches consecutivas pudimos disfrutar de juegos pirotécnicos ofrecidos por los anfitriones. Definitivamente volveré a agendar en esta propiedad.

Review translation: It was a magnificent experience, the cabin has more than it offers, very clean, comfortable and larger than I thought, very friendly hosts. We enjoy beautiful landscapes, walks through the forest and kayaking. For 2 consecutive nights we were able to enjoy fireworks offered by the hosts. I will definitely book this property again.

Wonderful Getaway

The property was two of my favorite things, remote, and clean. I have never stayed in a cleaner cabin in my life. I loved the solitude and walking outside and being off the beaten path, but didn't have to deal with the creepy crawlies or grit that usually accompanies that once we went inside. It was easy to find, comfortable, and there was plenty of room for my family of 5 (+our dog who we paid a pet fee for). We're already planning on going back.

Great place for a getaway!

We needed to get away from home and this was the perfect place to relax! Our family of 4 and our dog were very comfortable in the cabin. It was equipped with everything we needed. We will be back! We loved going on walks and seeing all the bird.

Two-Family Getaway

This was the perfect getaway for our two families to be able to be in cabins side by side so cousins could play together while grown ups sat around the fire together.

Wonderful Stay

We were so happy with our stay. It was so clean , very new , cozy cabin at the middle of vast lands. Nice get away and very good host.All age groups enjoyed being there. Will definitely come back another time.

Nikki, Lee and their teenage daughter Emilee Salek are the hosts. The owners are Jim and Freda Sojka, third wind entrepreneurs with a longtime dream of buying this camp so close to our home. It has been a church camp since the 70s, we wanted to convert it to something families could enjoy. We also love a family business to run together.
We wanted to share our good fortune, through the sale of a successful business, (Bug Soother)this is an excellent way to be able to do that.

With 53 acres of timber and trails along the Cedar River, our cabins are perfect for the outdoor explorer. Plus, with volleyball and basketball courts, tetherball, horseshoes, and a playground, there are plenty of activities for all ages. During the summer season, take in an outdoor movie in the evening, roast marshmallows around the fire pit, and relax.

On weekends you can enjoy sandwiches and milk shakes from our new food truck, The Box Lunch.

Coming soon will be 2 buildings that will hold events, a concession stand, and a large commercial kitchen to feed the guests during high season.

During high season, we will put on themed events, have activities for families.

The Ranch is set up to make some memories.

Also on the property will be a transitional living community for women in crisis. By staying at the ranch, people are supporting a fresh start for these women.
