The Suite has ceramic tile flooring, hot water baseboard heat, 1 bathroom, laundry room w/washer & dryer, kitchen has 25 c.f. refrigerator, cooking utensils, silverware, glasses, 1.5 cubic foot 900w convection oven, gas grill in entry room, very clean. Inter-connected smoke alarms throughout building, 27" SMART TV in kitchen, 55" SMART TV in sitting room, Wi-Fi access included. Stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter. 4 person Hot tub in entry room. Take advantage of this comfortable suite with plenty of parking. The rental is mostly underground with Main Street level access.

We had such a pleasant stay in Lead at this property. We had two couples and we all felt comfortable and content with the thoughtfully equipped kitchen, the beautiful deck, and the cozy beds. The owner was very friendly and communicative and ensured that we were comfortable and had what we needed. And the property is very clean.

Excellent location and parking

The host had excellent communication and met with us when we arrived (after 10:30 PM) to discuss the hot tub. The property was very clean and had a lot of kitchen amenities. It was pretty warm at night, but there were fans in the rooms. The beds were very firm which didn’t lead to great sleep for any of us.

It's actually a basement, with occupied home above.

Hot tub is a great bonus. Be prepared to be in a basement dwelling of an occupied home above. Not really presented as such on the listing.

Better than the pictures

The pictures are accurate but the actual place is nicer than it seems. Spacious and very clean! The owner of the property lives on the middle floor of the house but the best way to describe it is 3 separate apartment units. Separate outdoor entrances and locks. We were concerned of the layout but I can promise you do not have to worry! Highly recommend and James is a very nice guy and clearly works hard for his guests! 5 stars

I grew up in Lead, left for a 4 year US Navy enlistment then returned and bought the Lodge when it was a 1 floor house. I dug the Main street level to make room for my expanding family. After my children left I added the 3rd floor and rent it as a 6-month lease. I then added the 2 stall garage along Prospect Ave. north of the house 2014 -2019. Then I added the 3rd floor deck in 2019. I enjoy walks, hiking, camping, and improving my property.

Easy access, no stairs to the lodge is rare in Lead and throughout the Black Hills. I clean between reservations and do my best to have a very clean place when you arrive.
