I’ll start with the good; the house is a 5 minute walk to the beach. Also within biking distance to town and ferry, and a short drive to some decent restaurants.
Othe than that, not much great to say about the house. It’s dated, not much changed from its construction probably in the 60’s. Three rooms but they are all very small - the full size bed is against a wall so sleeping two adults isn’t very comfortable. Other rooms have twin beds but can’t fit much more than the bed itself. Living room is small - we were just a family of three but if every bed in this house were filled I imagine people would be on top of each other. Kitchen is cramped and not very well outfitted. Cooking dinner for three was a challenge. Dining table inside served better as a shelf. Dining table outside was a better place to eat, but table was plastic. There is a grill but no cleaning tools were provided that I could find. There was only one AC unit in the whole house (in the kitchen) which didn’t do much to cool the stuffy house. There is a washer dryer that appears to be from this century, but comes with warnings about outrageous fines if not used properly. In short, the house lacked charm and space, and while it sufficed for our needs I would caution any other family, especially with more than one kid, to be aware of the flaws.
Also, a note about the management; we had to call to get information about the size of the beds and were only informed a few days before our stay that linens were not provided. Key handoff was fine but did require visiting the management office when it could have just as easily been handled with a keybox.
