Wonderful

The property was clean for the most part, but there were a few stains on the sheet that looked like blood. In past experiences with other apartment rentals, they come with seasoning and kitchen utensils that work but this one does not so I suggest to be prepared with your own. Besides that, it was a decent stay.

We loved the condo's layout and close proximity to beach and other amenities.

We love staying at Alerio but there were a few issues when we arrived. The fan/light wasn't working in secondary bedroom when we arrived Saturday evening but maintenance fixed it Monday afternoon. Kitchen could have used a better cleaning - crumbs on toaster, smudges on microwave handle and touch points, greasy wall in primary bath. Missing toilet paper roll holder in second bath. Mattress in primary BR is very hard but that could be personal preference. Sent list to agency so they could remedy for next family coming in.

Review

The lock on the door of the room does not lock automatically when you open the the door. You have to hit the wrong code in order for the door to be locked. We did not figure this out until day 3 so the first 3 days when we left the room was unlocked. We did not like this. We had issues with the rugs as they slid every time we steped on they, which was a safety concern. Southern came the next day to add the backing to the rugs which was great service. We also had issues with the dishwasher which was broken, once maintenance was notified they set someone out to take a look. Overall great experience! The walk to the beach was not far at all. Great area during our March visit.

Overall, a nice property with some flaws

PROS: Overall, a decent location to the beach and to nearby shopping. The condo is a short walk across the street to a publicly accessible beach. The property has security. CONS: The check-in process was confusing. The consent form said listing additional people to the list was optional. But then I received multiple text messages telling me to list the names and ages of everyone staying. The kitchen countertops were dirty. The washing machine smelled of mildew and had grass in it. I suppose someone was trying to wash their shoes. I ran two cycles with Clorox and washing machine cleaning tabs but the smell persisted. I ran a load of clothes (i shouldn't have) and our clothes smelled like mildew. The building staff sprayed cleaner into the washing machine and it did smell better, but the damage had been done. We really wanted to wash clothes that week but decided not the risk ruining our clothes. One of the lights in the 2nd bedroom made a loud noise. The number 6 key on the door lock was stuck. The management company should periodically inspect their properties and not wait until renters complain. The microwave light wasn't working. The condo needs more places to hang wet clothes and towels.

Excellent locatiin

Dirty wash cloth in the bedroom drawer, no blanket for sofa sleeper, no kitchen supplies other than dishes. No hot pads for using the oven, lock on back door broken, when I called about getting a blanket (since we flew in) they said there was nothing they could do and to read the “vacation tips” so it does say they provide no extra bedding. But a sofa sleeper should have one blanket. So my kid slept with one sheet, the pool and hot tub I couldn’t access because it was locked and I had no instructions how to access the pool.The location is fantastic that’s the positive. There was also a beer jammed in the ice maker not from us. Cleaners could do better.
