Great place for entertaining in Bluewater!



The Space:

If you are looking for a cute home for your family vacation, this is the place for you! This charming 2nd row house is centrally located in the Bluewater subdivision and has quick and easy access to the beach. Relax and enjoy beach views from the partially covered, furnished deck - great for sunbathing or simply enjoying the sound of the waves and smell of the sea!



This 1400+ square foot property offers the amenities of home - dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer, ceiling fans, DVD player, flat-screen TVs, and high speed internet. The well-stocked kitchen has a large island with seating, and there is an additional dining table with seating for six.

The primary bedroom features a king bed and an ensuite bathroom; the second bedroom has one queen bed; and a third bedroom has 2 sets of twin over full bunk beds. There is also a sofa bed in the living room, allowing the house to sleep a total of 12.



When you come in from your day at the beach, there's a convenient outdoor shower and fish cleaning station. Then you can entertain in the downstairs patio area, which features a large bar with plenty of seating, a charcoal BBQ grill, and swing.

Several other houses managed by Swedes are also nearby if you are planning a family reunion, or larger gathering!



Small dogs (under 35 pounds) are welcome with a pet fee. All Swedes Real Estate vacation rentals are non-smoking properties. Swedes does not rent to guests under 25 years of age.

The homeowner does not provide linens and towels, but, if you choose, they are available upon request from our linen service (additional fee applies).

Fun House for Family

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The inside of this house is very nice, the couches could be upgraded though. Downstairs was disappointing! The outdoor shower was full of mud, the outdoor sink was filthy and the drain was full of twigs and dirt, and the tables/bartop had lots of bird p**p. Apparently the cleaning fee doesn't include anything downstairs prior to your visit.

Great location-low amenities

The location is terrific. However, the cabin needs some tlc. The couch is grossly stained. The kitchen has roaches including little baby ones. The cabinets need to be filled with more pots and pans and baking sheets. Whenever we arrived the house was hot! The AC air was turned off. We had to contact someone to get the ac checked to confirm it was not broken and would eventually get the cabin cold. It wasn’t cooled off until 10:30 pm. The charcoal pit was a nice addition to the cabin. Be prepared to bring everything with you whenever you stay.

Reviewer Comments: When we first stepped inside of the house, it had an odor... come to find out it was a smell coming from a carpet that was left in the master bathroom closet. After unloading, I went to wash my hands, the sink was dirty, and there was dirty dishes left in the dishwasher to my surprise. The master shower was not cleaned very well and needed a little more attention, especially the plastic part. The night before we left... I opened the dishwasher and saw small roaches coming out. The location was great. The view was beautiful; however, you are very close to the next person.

We only had a few issues but they didn't effect our overall stay, the room that had the bunk beds didn't have a powercord for the TV, and the a/c kept automatically going up to 88 degrees due to it being on a set schedule on the nest device, we didn't mess with the schedule. We did turn in down while we were inside the house but it would continue to jump back to 88.

Weekend with friends!

We had a great time during our stay at Summer Dream! I'll start with the positives. The location is amazing - just steps from the beach and less than 3 miles away from popular restaurants, gas stations and The Big Store. The house itself boasts tall ceilings with a huge kitchen, perfect for cooking entertaining, and had mostly everything we needed. Main bedrooms were comfortable and spacious, providing plenty of space in the drawers and closet for our clothes. The deck has plenty of seating for hanging out, making every night memorable. For the negatives. Both the driveway and deck railings could use an overhaul. Rinsing off in the driveway will create standing water and the railings are a bit wobbly on some parts of the deck. Definitely wouldn't let small children lean over. The living room furniture was a bit dated and needs a good cleaning. The blankets in the main bedrooms could use replacing as well. Linens that we got through Swede we had to put on ourselves, which was kinda a bummer. Not exactly the first thing you want to do on vacation. The right sink in the main bedroom had some issues draining. We had to buy a trash can because there wasn't one upon arrival (which we left for the next tenants). With that said, these issues didn't impact how much we enjoyed our stay. The experience really is what you make it. We might stay here again, provided, some of these issues are fixed. We were there for just the weekend. TX Golf Carts did a 1 night rental which made our time on the beach fun. The comforter on the primary bed needs replacing due to a huge stain in the middle. We rented linens but brought paper products, soaps, coffee, condiments, food with us. The house was missing a can opener and hangers. If there is something you want or need, bring it. Key was not available for after hours pickup. It was delivered in about 20 min.

Large kitchen and 2 baths helped a lot. The location is very near the ocean and makes it great to walk to the beach. The extra services offered by the management company are a must as you don't have to carry a lot personal items, i.e. towels and bed linens. Over all I say I'll stay in this again and recommend it to anyone going to Crystal beach.

I've never rented anything, cabin, home etc where I had to request and pay for sheets and towels. The house can only hold 12 people but not very comfortably. The "septic" not being able to hold up to the max occupancy and being told if I had more people there I should rent a port a potty was not something I would have expected. When we arrived the downstairs was disgusting with bird feces all over the concrete and bars. Chalk writing all over the posts, grass was shin high. Had to call, take pictures and send them to the realtor to have them come out the next day to mow. We cleaned all the bird **** up ourselves. Renting a beach cabin is supposed to be relaxing and enjoyable, this was not. It's a nice place, but not worth the hassle.

Great Beach House

This house was very comfortable. Loved the downstairs area and swing. They obviously love dogs. The house had a dog bowl and kennel with a bed in it. Our black lab felt very welcome 😊. The only negative thing I experienced happened before I got there. I had reached out to the management company to inquire about the cooking utensils, just to confirm I didn’t need to bring anything since nothing is listed in the description. Their response was “they could not confirm the house had any utensils because each house is owned by different individuals and they were only the management company” . I found this very odd. FYI, The house does indeed have plenty of cooking utensils. We loved it and will definitely stay here again.

Location was the only good thing

The property was supposed to be non-smoking but as soon as we entered the property it smelled of smoke. The smoke alarms went off 4-5 times during our stay after several visits from maintenance. There were problems with both queen beds and the cleanliness of the floor and it didnt seem like anyone cleaned under the furniture. Management at Swedes eventually reimbursed us for a nights stay but we had to contact them several times during our stay and I dont ever recall receiving an apology for the issues we faced.

Nice place for large family. Mosquitos were really bad down stairs.

The property is nicely laid out. AC was cold. Everything worked well. Close to beach. Nice views from balcony. Only complaint, Mosquitos were really bad downstairs. The lots on both sides of property are overgrown and have standing water.
