We want your stay to be wonderful—please review the important notes about this house before booking to make sure it matches what you’re looking for.
Important Notes About This House — Please Read Before Booking
Our home is a custom-built retreat from the 1980s, crafted in part with salvaged redwood timbers from a historic Northern California mill. It offers a rustic, one‑of‑a‑kind experience close to nature and stunning coastal views.
Accessing the Property
The house is reached by a half‑mile gravel road off Highway 101. The road may have potholes, and there are two neighbors, so please drive slowly and carefully.
Property Access
Guests have full access to the entire home, except for the garages and outbuildings. There is a large field where you can park overflow vehicles, but it is not visible from the house.
Master Shower Window
The master bathroom shower features a large window that looks out toward the dunes and ocean. While it can feel exposed at first, this area is on a private section of the deck accessible only to your group and not visible to neighbors or the public.
Lower Level Bedroom
Bedroom 4 is located on the lower level and includes a queen bed and a half bath. Because this level is tucked into the hillside, it can sometimes have a musty odor. If you are sensitive to such smells, this space may not be the best fit.
Wildlife & Bats
In spring and summer, small bats sometimes roost in the cedar siding. To keep them outside, we recommend keeping windows and doors without screens closed at night. If a bat does find its way indoors, don’t panic—it will usually circle while looking for an exit and may settle high in the loft ceiling. Please let us know if this happens; however, due to the ceiling height, we may not always be able to remove it immediately.
Your Hosts
We live nearby and are just a phone call away if you need anything. Otherwise, the home is all yours to enjoy in privacy.
